Trust In the Lord And Walk In His Ways

Often times do we learn in church to trust in the Lord, but still, our hearts are on other things that will not save us. We begin to make different things, and people our gods, in the way we look up to them ahead of God. This can be in smartphones, TV, cars, music artists, actors and actresses, sports athletes, and many other things. These things drive our hearts away from God, and onto them instead. Even our internet searches are upon wordly things, instead of seeking God in prayer and in His Word. This is not seeking God first but other things instead. Therefore, we must learn what God’s intentions are for our lives. Isaiah wrote, “thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.” (Isaiah 26:3-5) And when we put this faith in action, we will also say, “O Lord our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.” (Isaiah 26:13,14) Praise God, this is the time that other man-made gods are removed and God becomes important. Where is God in your life now?

Isaiah also said, “the way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” (Isaiah 26:7-9) “For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” (Isaiah 26:21) How many of you think the way that Isaiah wrote in this chapter? Do you believe in fully trusting in God? How about walking in His righteousness? Where we look to God in all things and understand God is just in all His judgements. Therefore, we allow Him to make us just also, that we might be upright in His sight and not our own. It is important to know that there will be a day when Jesus will return. And in this time the saints of God will be saved, but the wicked will be punished. And why will they be punished? Because they did not give up their wicked ways, including false beliefs. Therefore, the blood of Jesus did not cover them. He never became the Lord of their lives, so His salvation was not for them. So how is God in your life? Are you walking in His ways or the world? Take a close look at what you do in your secret place and also around people, then get right with God if you have gone off course.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I give You honor and praise, this day and forever. I glory in Jesus, my Savior. Your ways are true and faithful and that is what I want in my life also. Pour out Your Spirit upon me, that I might walk in Your holiness. All I desire is to be upright in Your sight and to no longer walk in willful sin. Lord, I pray that people will also be sorrowful for their sins, even for all their false beliefs. Take those things that they have made up in their minds and cast them out in Your mighty Name, Jesus. May they want nothing else, like I do, than to dwell with You all their days. I have tasted of the good and of the bad in this life, and only the good has kept me going, while the bad has always weighed me down in a negative way. I was tired of living a lie, and the desire to live a life pleasing in Your sight changed me. If there are any idols in people’s lives, cast them out. Rip them out of their hearts today. I pray that they are sorry for giving their time over to looking up to people and other things, while You were left out of the picture. The sorrow they have for their sins will save them this day. Their confessions will allow You to cast their iniquities from their lives. You are the lord of my life and I will follow You. I put my trust in the God of my salvation and will never again go astray. You are my God and I love You. I give You praise, Jesus. Take my hand and lead me to Your home in heaven. I believe in You and wish for You to fill me up with Your wisdom. In Your holy Name, Jesus, I pray this. Amen.
