It was made known unto Solomon, through God, that there is a time and a place for everything on earth. To begin, he said, 1“to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” For every person that has ever been born on this earth, there time will eventually come to an end. It does not matter if the person is rich or famous, there time, like everyone else’s, is short. This goes for every great inventor, athlete, actor or actress, artist, and president or king, they will also alll run their course and die. In the time that we have, there is 1“a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance,” 1“a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;” 1“a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” We will experience such things in our lives. There will be good times and bad times, but one thing is certain, is that the best thing we can do is seek God. Everything else in life will just make sense, as we gain His wisdom and find direction for our lives.
Surely, there are many things that we can do in our day and throughout life but most important is our choice to follow Jesus and do as He commands. How can we know what is right and what is wrong, unless the Lord is leading us? Through the words of the Bible and prayer, we have a map that will keep us on course. Yes, our path will be lit up, that we may not go astray. Surely, with the Lord in our lives, there will still be joy and sorrow. However, in every moment where there is pain, we have a comforter in the Holy Spirit that will give us peace. We may not know how to get through certain things in life but with the Lord God leading us, we are overcomers. There is nothing that God cannot do in our lives. Please know that God is there for His children. He is our creator and blesses us so much, day in and day out. From the beginning of time, 1“He hath made every thing beautiful”, as Solomon said. This beauty will be noticed while on your path with God. When He is at the head of our lives, everything is amazing. Now, we have a choice to make. We can lead our own lives or choose to follow Jesus. We can allow our lives to come to an end without knowing the Lord, while forfeiting our salvation, or come unto Jesus today and be saved in His glorious Kingdom in heaven.
Let us pray:
Lord God, we come before You now in praise and rejoicing. We know that this life is much better off with You in our lives. There is comfort in the storms of life. There is peace when hard times come our way. There is mercy when we repent and choose to change our ways. We have direction in this life, that we may stay the course and not be led astray. Even when temptation comes, we are overcomers, that we may not fall. You keep us going strong. Our faith is revitalized each day in prayer. Our understanding of what is right and what is wrong is made known through the words of the Bible. Yes, Your Words are a lamp unto our feet. There is nothing like Your knowledge and understanding. When Your presence is near, my eyes are opened that I might learn. Even this life make sense when You have a hand in it. We understand where we are now and where You want to take us. So call us now, for we are all in. Lead us by the hand and show the way. Teach us Your commands. Help us become a faithful follower of You, till the end of our lives. Even till the end, when we have ran our course, may Your Name be on our lips. That we may one day see You in Your matchless glory. It will be wonderful to, one day, come unto You and embrace You, God. You are my King and I will forever praise Your Holy Name. I love You. Amen.
