There are many times that the Lord speaks through me, in the words of the Bible, and again, today was one of those moments. I was reading in a couple different chapters in Revelation but then stumbled upon chapter 2, when my eyes were opened. What an eye opening experience this was. The moment I read the following verses, I was seriously blown away. 10“Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.” I had read this before, many times, but this time God brought to light something new, something remarkable. My eyes were glued upon these words, 10“thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.” I am amazed at was happening here. These people discovered that certain individuals portrayed themselves as apostles of God, and were actually not. 4They were wolves in sheep’s clothing and liars at that . What is so interesting about this is, the Lord said that the people, that found this out, were patient. When they exposed their fraud, they did so for His name’s sake. These verses are not just speaking to people in the days of John, it is also speaking about people now.
In our day, there is a specific church that is leading people astray and acting as if they have apostles. This church is called, “The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints” or the Mormon Church. It has one prophet, which is God’s mouthpiece, and other apostles. They exhort their church members to trust in what they are saying, more so than what the Bible teaches. Following their prophet is taught and also sung in their hymns. They teach that their new revelation from God is more meaningful than the revelation of the Bible. Even if their teachings go against the Bible, they have reasons for it. Their new revelations outweighs any teachings of the past. These church leaders declare that their teachings are more relevant, than that of the Bible, for it can’t be trusted. Their Book of Mormon is also the most correct book on earth. Let us pause for a minute… Can’t you see the lies here? When they lift up their own beliefs over what the Bible teaches, this is blasphemy to God’s Word. To put down the Bible and lift up another book is heresy. 2“The words of the Lord are pure words,” and everybody that thinks differently is not on God’s side. Any teaching that goes against what the Word of God teaches is of Satan. New revelation can never go against what the Bible teaches and still be true. So many people have been led astray into following the lies of this church. Because of their deceit, many evil practices have come into their church. We will begin to discuss these things in greater detail, starting in the next paragraph.
Many false teachings can come into a church, when new “so-called” revelation begins to override what the Bible teaches. What is sad, is that the members of this kind of church can easily be led astray and not even realize it until it is too late. Why is this? Because, their focus is on what the prophet and their other books teach, more so than the Bible. This happens when they declare that the Bible is not translated correctly. This is why they don’t test their teachings with it. Let’s get right into that issue. A translation is to look at either the original Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic or all those languages and transcribe it to another language. In the day we live in, there are different translations based on this technique. However, nobody but one person, am I aware of, that has ever taken a translated English version of the Bible and then changed it to fit their needs. This man was Joseph Smith, the first prophet of the Mormon Church. As Joseph Smith was reading the KJV Bible, he decided that verses were either out of order, wrong, or missing things entirely. So His own Joseph Smith Translation began and ended with over 3410 verses changed. If you look at what he did, this has to be one of the biggest crimes to ever take place against God and His Word. Joseph undermined God by taking the Bible and removing all the purity it has. God’s wrath is surely upon him. There is a warning, in the Bible, that says, 12“if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life.” Because of what he did, his name was removed from the book of life. He has been 3“found a liar” in God’s sight.
Because of the fact that Joseph Smith made His own corrupted version of the Bible, now many corruptible things have been added to the church he formed. One of these things is polygamy. Joseph Smith said he got a revelation from God about the practice of plural marriage, and therefore instituted it. And all of this started off with Joseph lying to his wife, Emma, about his other wives. This really hurt her but he continued this evil practice anyways. This new revelation from God would justify what he was doing. In the beginning, the church was public in their stance with polygamy. However, they now practice behind closed doors. Though, it is not public anymore, they still perform these and other marriage ceremonies, in the temple. In doing so, they also seal those that are dead to their spouse. They believe that those in heaven are still married and even polygamy exists there. When they seal married couples in the temple, it is for time and all eternity. These are all lies that the Bible teaches against. Those that read and trust in the Bible would know that polygamy and marriage in heaven was never instituted from God. Paul wrote that the men of the church, that get married, are to be 7“the husband of one wife.” 1This was God’s plan from the beginning, even in the beginning with Adam and Eve. It is those people that have fallen into sin, that have married into polygamy. Even people that expect their marriage to last, after this life, are very much deceived. The Bible teaches plainly that there is no marriage in heaven, 5“but are as the angels of God in heaven.”
Another evil practice that was added to the Mormon Church was baptisms for the dead. We are taught by Paul, in the Bible, that wicked people were twisting the meaning of baptism and therefore doing baptisms for the dead. Paul actually asked them plainly why they were doing it. He said, 6“why are they then baptized for the dead?” I ask the same question to every Mormon. Can’t you see here that questioning somebody about a belief or practice does not mean it is doctrine? Because of this belief, in the Mormon Church, genealogy is so important. Why is this? Because, they believe that only those people that were baptized in their church will be saved. Therefore, they must get the records of everyone that has ever died and then do baptisms and then marriage sealings for the dead. The members of this church do these ceremonies in their temples, on a daily basis. Have you wondered why their building more and more temples? It is because there are still millions of people that have not had their work done yet, that have died. Wow, this is a big example of how misinterpretation of the Bible can lead people to do such horrific things in the church. My mind is just blown. Be wise in God’s Word and not man. Stay far away from that cult. Just as the church of Ephesus did, I also proclaim that their church is lying to people. 8They are not following Jesus but their prophets alone. It is good to hate what is evil, not the people but the practice of sin. Read what Revelation chapter 2, verses 6 says, 10“But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.” God does hate the evil practices of men.
As I conclude this message, let us not forget the importance of unlearning what is false and learning what is true. Just because this church is wrong, in every respect, it does not mean that everyone else also has it wrong. Those that hold true to what the Bible teaches are on the right path to God. To them, His words are pure and nothing comes before Him. Jesus Himself is called the 11“Word of God”. 9The Bible is also called the same. What a coincidence, that if you are studying and following the teachings of the Bible, you are also following Jesus. The Word and the Lord Jesus are one and the same. Anything outside the teachings of the Bible is following another Jesus. I will end with quoting from Revelation chapter 2, verses 4 and 5. 10“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” God is exhorting all people that come out of Mormonism to not only expose the lies but also repent. Their lives still need saved. They have forgotten their first love, which is Jesus and need to realize this. I pray that they do repent and understand that they are fallen. Only then can the Lord come into their lives. May their souls be revived from the dead. Only Jesus can do so. Come unto Him and confess your sins openly. Plead for forgiveness. Open your heart to the Lord and He will come and cleanse you from all sin. This is the start of a new life in Christ. The Lord Jesus is my first love. I am grateful to have the Lord in my life. I am no longer blinded but can see.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for bringing to my attention the lies of Mormonism. I have tested the things that their apostles and prophets have taught and have found them to be a lie. It is only through prayer and reading the Bible, that this conclusion was made. You have opened my eyes and I can finally see how deceived I once was. Now I know that millions of people are being led astray by the Mormon Church. My heart is saddened to see most of my family believing in their lies. Lord, please open their eyes to the truthfulness of the Bible. May they finally decide to try their beliefs with what the Word of God says. May they open their hearts to You. May they follow You above all men. You are the only way to heaven, and I pray that they can also discover You in a new way. You are Lord of all and only through You can we know the truth and be set free. I trust in Your Word. You have led me away from false teachers and I am grateful. Help others also to know the truth and be no longer led astray by their evil teachings. Thank You for leading me on Your righteous path. I am so grateful to be led from darkness and into Your light. Thank You Lord. I love You. Amen.
Let us read the Bible:

1Genesis 2:21-25 (KJV)
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
2Psalm 12:6,7 (KJV)
6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
3Proverbs 30:5-6 (KJV)
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
4Matthew 7:13-23 (KJV)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
5Matthew 22:23-32 (KJV)
23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
27 And last of all the woman died also.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
61 Corinthians 15:1-34 (KJV)
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
71 Timothy 3 (KJV)
1 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
8Hebrews 1:1,2 (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
9Hebrews 4:9-16 (KJV)
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
10Revelation 2:1-7 (KJV)
1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
11Revelation 19:1-13 (KJV)
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
12Revelation 22:18,19 (KJV)
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
