Praise The Lord For His Goodness

In Psalm 107, it is emphasized so many times, four in fact, to 1“praise the Lord for his goodness”. Have you ever wondered why this is the case? It is quite simply really. To give thanks and praise the Lord is something all people would do if they were saved. Praises would flow deep within our souls towards the Lord our God. We wouldn’t help but rejoice in His goodness and grace. Thanksgiving for what God has given us would come naturally. Look at yourself. Are you reborn in the love of Jesus? Does His love reflect in your life and the lives you affect? If you are seeing God’s blessings and give God thanks then you are showing fruits of the Lord’s salvation. David spoke of everyone that are saved when he said, 1“let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.” These people understand the miracles of God in their lives and are so grateful. God has opened their eyes that they may 1“see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.” Think about your life. How grateful you must be if God has come into your life. If what I have described above is not your life, then you are in trouble. Heaven does not await a person who is on a path to destruction.

Everyone that follows Jesus are so blessed, as to know in their hearts, that they are saved. They have no worries of death, for they will be with their Savior. On the other hand, Jesus is also waiting for the unjust to repent. Nothing is set in stone, unless you have written Him off entirely. If you are not sorry and don’t believe in Jesus then you are lost. 1Your soul is described as melting with trouble. You may not see this now, but without the love of God, you will be left forever wanting. Nothing will ever quench your thirst. God see’s that you 1“reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit’s end.” Your soul truly is in bad shape. Why not end this struggle and 1“cry unto the Lord” in your troubles. Everyone that puts their trust in God, He will bring 1“them out of their distresses.” 1“He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.” The day you start believing and following Jesus, you will truly be glad. This will change everything. Your outlook on life and the future will be drastically different. Give your heart to God and you will be transformed. Your sins will be forgiven. In this, you won’t help but thank the Lord for His mercy. You will rejoice in Jesus, your Savior.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more people will come to know You. That more people will experience your great love. May this love overflow into other people’s lives. May my heart and theirs be conformed to Your will. I desire that more people will be saved. May people come to know You and then rejoice in Your mercy. I know that I am so grateful for Your mercy and forgiveness. What a wonderful Savior, I serve. You are so gracious and kind to resurrect my life. All praises and glory to Your Name. You are such a great God. You are all loving and kind. You are also just. I pray that people’s hearts will be moved to follow You, before time on earth is gone. Spark a revival in their lives, oh Lord. Help me find these people that I might bring them closer to You. I love You Lord. Amen.
