Surely the Lord is greater than all things. He is mightier than anything on earth. No man or woman can match the power that He holds in His hands. Many have come and rose up, in their own strength, but it was all for nothing, for God was missing in their lives. We can try to live the best we can, but in the end we will still come up empty, if our faith in Jesus didn’t sustain us. Only the Lord can bless and prosper us on earth and to all eternity. For only Jesus has the power to save. Only He has the power to forgive sins. 4For this reason, we ought to come to the Lord with a humble heart in prayer. Come and offer your life to the King of glory. Come to His throne and worship Him. The Lord is everlasting and His power has no end. The peace He gives is greater than what the world can offer. The love which He bears is for everyone that comes to Him. Jesus is the King of Kings. 1“The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength.” Come and offer Him your heart. Let Him mend it to live for Him. Only in the light of Jesus can we be saved. In His presence, we become filled with the Spirit. Through the Spirit of God, we are led by God and not our own selves. 3In the Spirit, we are able to remember things and learn from the Most High. This is because we trust in God.
Though we can’t see the divinity of God, He empowers us to do mighty things, through Him. We can’t even imagine the power and might of our God. What He can do on earth and for mankind, has no end. Even 1“the floods have lifted up their voice” to the Lord. The waves obey His voice. Seas that are raging are made calm by His hand. He says to the sea, 2“Peace, be still”, and the sea is made calm. There was a time, when He was on a boat with his disciples. He was tired and went to sleep. In the meantime, 2“there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.” The people then began to cry out, for thought they would perish. In that moment, they awoke Jesus. Jesus seeing the waves, rose up and 2“rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” What He said to them next, pay close attention to. 2“Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” They had Jesus with them but still they feared and their faith was weak. If we put our trust in the Lord, we are made stronger. By His hand, we can get through all things. I pray that each day you put your hope and belief in Jesus. Only the Lord can calm the atmosphere. Make it a point to pray often, and you will do great things. Come before the King and He will receive You.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, may our lives better serve You. May our hearts be given over to do Your will. I know that You are greater than all things. Only You have the power to save. Please forgive me when I slip up. Help me to no longer walk in sin but follow You. Take from our hearts anything that is wicked and grieves the Spirit. May our lives be without blemish before You Lord. I pray that our faith will stand up strong to the temptations of the devil. Help us to withstand all appearance of evil. May our belief in You continue stronger and stronger each day. I know that You can strengthen us, as we read Your words. You fill my needs, through scripture and prayer. I know that You can do the same for anyone that makes You a priority of their life. Turn us form any idols that may be blocking our sights. Help us all to focus on what is lasting. Our faith in You is what endures. Help strengthen it each day. I love You. Amen.
