What a wonderful night to go out into the harvest. There were three of us, this night, but still the Lord was able to do so much with only a few people. God surely was with us tonight, as we went out into the streets. Our prayers were heard and God began to do mighty things through us. We simply opened our mouths and the Holy Spirit began to fill us. Surely, the good news of Jesus Christ was declared. With boldness, His gospel was shared with anyone with ears to hear. The first person we met was a kind young man, awaiting a bus. Upon meeting him, I offered him prayer. Of which he said, “OK”. He just didn’t know what to ask for. We mentioned that prayer could be for anything. We could pray for his faith to grow, If it was lacking. If he knew anyone that was in need, we asked him to please let us know as well. This set forth a wonderful conversation on following Jesus. Chris declared the gospel message of the cross. That Jesus died for our sins. It is up to us to choose to follow Him and accept Him into our hearts. Since tomorrow may never come, it is important to commit today to come to Jesus. He said that he had done this before but it didn’t last long. We mentioned that it isn’t just words we say but a commitment to follow Jesus. As we begin to follow the Lord, our desires to do what is right is elevated. Our desires to read the Bible is increased. His response was that he hadn’t read the Bible for a while but would be willing to. So I gave him a Bible and Chris committed him to start reading from John. We then prayed over him. It was after the prayer, that we noticed his countenance was radiating. He was so happy. Praise the Lord.
As we walked along the streets, many people took our handouts, including the Gospel of John and Gospel Tracks. Some people were not so interested but others were ever so grateful. As we were approaching a crosswalk, the other guys went ahead, while I stopped. The Holy Spirit was telling me so, so I stopped in my tracks. I then saw this couple beginning to walk in my direction. So I approached them and asked if they knew about Jesus. His response was “yes”, and began to tell me he was Mormon. After hearing that, I responded that Jesus freed me that religion. His response was, “to what?” I then told him, that my eyes have been opened. Through the Bible, I have come to see the false teachings of the Mormon Church. My heart is now closer to Jesus than ever before. He then asked me what Bible I used and I said, “the King James Version (KJV).” He said, “oh, well that’s the same Bible, Mormons use, right?” I said, “No. The Mormons use a Bible with the Joseph Smith Translation (JST) in footnotes. It is not a translation but a huge change to the KJV Bible.” I also gave him an example of a change made in Revelation 5. 4This is a crime against God, since the Bible says to not add or take away from God’s Word. To those that change it, their names are taken out of the book of life. We read this and the punishment to all that do such things. 3Their destination is hell. 1We also read in the Book of Mormon (BOM), that Jesus was born in Jerusalem, but the Bible teaches Bethlehem. 2And another issue is that Melchizedek had no father or mother, but the BOM says he had both. He was very intrigued and in that moment started to doubt the Mormon faith. He then got my devotional card and said he would visit and learn more on his own. Praise God.
Let us pray:
Thank You Lord for this wonderful night. We couldn’t have reached the people we did, if You weren’t guiding us. Your Spirit directed our paths and we found people ready to receive You. What a wonderful gift to be led by You, oh Lord. Thank You for the man that received the Bible and accepted prayer. I am grateful to have met him. It was amazing to see his heart turned to follow You. Thank You for meeting this couple. Especially the Mormon man, who was so receptive to the truths of God, in the Bible. Lord, I just opened my mouth and began to speak and you filled me. You helped me know what to bring up, in order for this man to learn Your truths. At the end of our conversation, I asked if he had learned something and he said, “Yes, thank you so much”. Wow. Lord, I could not have reached him if You were not there. I could feel Your presence the whole time. Thank You for opening his eyes to Your truth of the Bible. I love Your Words. The Bible truly has touched my heart. Thank You for helping me share it with others. With Your love I can do all things. I love You. Amen.

1Matthew 2:1-11 (KJV)
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
2Hebrews 7:1-6 (KJV)
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
3Revelation 20:11-15 (KJV)
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
4Revelation 22:18,19 (KJV)
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
