When I gave myself to Christ there was something important I needed to do. Through my faith in Him, I put aside any beliefs that were not Biblical. I evaluated everything I had ever learned through religion and if it wasn’t based on the truths of God’s word I disregarded it. I stopped attending the Mormon Church for it taught doctrines that weren’t Biblical. There other books were no longer meaningful to me for God’s word should not be added to. With all my heart I came to Jesus and gave up everything that was holding me back. I am so glad I made this choice. I no longer believe that religion saves but Christ the Lord. I do enjoy going to Bible believing churches and it strengthens my belief in Jesus. I accept Him as my Lord and Savior. I rely on the knowledge that God gives me through the Bible and prayer. The Bible is alive and it speaks to my soul. It has pierced my heart and shown me the way. I thank the Lord for rescuing me from my old life. I am eternally blessed for Jesus is with me. He is in my heart and that is all I need to be happy. He fulfills my soul. I thank Him for His mercy and still taking me in though I am a sinner.
If any of you are following a religion that has beliefs outside the Bible I pray that you stop attending. No longer do things that feel comfortable to You but with God. Anything out of God’s will, will not save us. To come unto Christ we must give up anything holding us back. This is the same for any sins that we haven’t turned away from in repentance. Make the leap of faith for God. Though it may seem difficult to leave a church your family belongs to, it is the right decision. Getting on God’s path will be well worth it in the long run. Trust that Jesus will be with you in these most important decisions. The Lord will come to your aid and give you peace. This is exactly what He did for me. As I started reading the Bible I knew in my heart that it was true. It is God’s living word and is alive in me. Reading God’s word confirmed the false teachings of the Mormon Church. Thank You Lord for showing me the truth of the gospel. I stand for what is right and that is Your words. You’ve set me free from bondage. I no longer worry about my salvation for You are with me. Your love sustains my daily walk. I love You Lord. Thank You for this new chance to follow You.
Hebrews 4:11-13 (NKJV)
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
