“And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable. When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand: In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people. For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory.” (Isaiah 3:5-8) – About 700–681 B.C.

“And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor; the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable. The King James Version of Isaiah, chapter 3, was copied and pasted into the Book of Mormon. This chapter of Isaiah can be found in 2 Nephi, chapter 13. The book of Isaiah and 2 Nephi are also available to read in the next chapters of this book. Details of what took place can be found below…

False prophets often distort and manipulate God's Word, even altering the verses. One such man is Joseph Smith, which is the first prophet in Mormonism. What he did was destroy the KJV Bible with his so-called JST Inspired version. This is where he changed 3410 verses in the KJV Bible. They are in the form of additions, deletions, rearrangements, and alterations. He also took verses in the Bible and copied them to his Book of Mormon, while changing those verses also. One example is found in Isaiah, chapter 3. It is written, “and the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable. When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand: In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people. For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory.” (Isaiah 3:5-8) This is talking about Israel and Judah falling because of their wickedness against God. They had provoked the Lord our God to anger.

Let's now compare what we just read with verses in 2 Nephi, chapter 13. Pay close attention to the words in bold. The highlighted words are additions and subtractions to the 3rd chapter of Isaiah. It is written, “and the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor; the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable. When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, and shall say: Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let not this ruin come under thy hand. In that day shall he swear, saying: I will not be a healer; for in my house there is neither bread nor clothing; make me not a ruler of the people. For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen, because their tongues and their doings have been against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory.” (2 Nephi 13:5-8) Looking into these verses, "saying" is replaced with “and shall say“. “Let this ruin be under thy hand” was changed to “let not this ruin come under thy hand”. “Because their tongue and their doings” was also changed to “because their tongues and their doings”. Lastly, adding the word “not”, changes the entire context of the chapter. And now you know the truth concerning Joseph Smith and his book. He is a false prophet. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people of the Mormon faith will one day wake up to their false beliefs and leave it behind before it is too late. Their path is destruction, and it hurts me to the core to know that I have family members that are part of this cult. Many of them are so very hard-hearted in accepting Your truth. You called me to their homes many times to help them know You, Jesus, and each time at least one of them is contentious. Thank You for my other sibling who is more open to having real discussions with me. I love her for that. I can see an open heart that is not always seen among the LDS people. Therefore, I pray that more doors will open up for me. This way I can share the true gospel message of the cross and resurrection to my family and others. Their form of the gospel is terrible and is leading millions of people astray. Help them understand how adding to the Bible makes that person a liar. It is sad that plagiarized books that come from the Bible are then taught in churches as scripture. We have people accepting what is false all the time in cults, while not even knowing they were led astray. This is the world we live in, God. Help people come out of it and to You instead. There is wisdom to be found still, but only in Your presence. I love You, Lord. Amen.
