When Jesus came into the world, He was not born of a king or looked the part. Instead, He came as a lowly servant, which the Jews never expected the Messiah to come like. While on earth He was governed over by kings and other high leaders. This happened all throughout Jesus’s life, while even giving his life for the sins of the world. He bled and died on the cross for the payment of sin willingly. Then, in the resurrection, Jesus’s time came for Him to rule like He did before His birth. And we are no longer under the law if we believe in Jesus unto salvation. We even become God’s sons and daughters through adoption. Paul said, “now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.” (Galatians 4:1-5) You can believe this to be true if you make Jesus Lord of your life. Even forgiveness of all your sins, though this may seem impossible now. God has forgiven me and can do the same for anyone who calls on His Name. Yes, confess your sins and He will put a new heart of flesh in you to live differently.
Paul also taught, “and because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?” (Galatians 4:6-9) There is a promise to all those people who would declare that Jesus is Lord of their lives. The same promise that Paul mentions here. That as sons and daughters to God, we are also heir of God through Christ, who saved us. You see, Jesus is the door to heaven, and to everyone who will believe and follow Him will He allow entrance and experience the same joys that the angels experience also. For we will be like unto angels there also, as Jesus taught. So please keep this in your remembrance at all times. Don’t be like others who forsook the promises of God and then later died in their sinful state. And because I say this, “am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16) Trust in God, even until the end, and you shall be saved. Jesus is looking for someone who will not give up on Him, while going back into our sinful state instead. Trust in Jesus, our deliverer, Savior, and Lord, our God.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that we will all come to a realization of what we have in the faith. That there is actual substance therein that will bring us unto You in this life and the next. We can’t just take our faith for granted and do our own things. I’ve learned the hard way when it comes to this and I am so sorry for deserting You. I look back now and know that my life was different then. I had pleasure, but it was only through the fleshly nature of this world. It lasted for a moment, but then guilt and shame always pilled up in my mind because of my sins. This is because the joy was not real. Satan has always attempted to manufacture something that appears to be good and appealing on the outside, but He can never do what You do for us on the inside. I’ve discovered that my joy can last, but only through following You, Jesus. Outside of You is darkness and evil dwells therein. I do not wish to have any more darkness seep into my life, but to have Your light forever dwell. I confess that I am a sinner and need You, Lord, in my life. Be ever with me and help me to not fall like others do. And may Your light so shine in me, that the wicked may come unto You also in all their confessions. You are able to restore us into the fold, even if people have fallen away. I believe in You, God. Yes, Father, thank You for adopting me into Your fold as Your son. I may call myself Your servant, but You call me Your son. Wow! I am so blessed. I love You, God. I can do all things through Your mighty hands. Amen.
