Jesus Said He Is God And Worship Me

In the Book of Isaiah, Jesus is speaking to the prophet Isaiah. This is important to know and understand, especially if the Lord is talking about people worshiping Him. So let’s begin with Isaiah 44. It reads, “thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6) This is very interesting. The God of Israel is the first and the last, where there is no other God beside Him. This makes sense if you believe in the Trinity, but not so much if you don’t. You see, God or Elohim, is made up of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and these three persons are one God. Our God being one makes sense, and this has been taught for the last two thousand years. As for God saying he is the first and the last, we hear Jesus saying the same thing about Himself in Revelation 22. It reads, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” (Revelation 22:13) Therefore, Jesus is the God of Israel. This is important to remember, for the one true God says every knee shall bow before Him.

The God of Israel said that every person will worship Him. Only He is God, which excludes other gods. This means that there is only one true God in the heavens. It is written, “look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.” (Isaiah 45:22,23) Earlier on we determined that this same God is Jesus. So His claim is that He is God and that every knee shall bow before Him. Paul the Apostle knew this and taught the following. “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:10,11) Therefore, every knee shall bow before Jesus. Those who deny His worship are denying His salvation. If you deny the Lord, He will deny you on judgment day. Thankfully, your time is not up yet. Bow down before Jesus now and confess He is Lord. Amen.
