The Trinity starts with Genesis, chapter 1. When the One True God said let us make man in our image, this is speaking of the plural nature of God, not multiple Gods. God is made up of three distinct persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They exist in one being and work together in perfect unity. The Father is spirit and dwells in the Son, the Son became flesh and has a body, and the Holy Spirit is spirit and can dwell in us. The Father is not the Son or the Holy Spirit. Jesus is not the Father or the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not the Father or Jesus. We worship the Father in Spirit, for He is spirit. Jesus also deserves our worship, for He is God. Not three Gods, but the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit make up one God.
The One True God of the heavens said let us make man in our image. That is made up of three distinct persons. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This same God that I worship says there are no Gods beside Him. So if God is one, but made up of three persons, then there is only one God and not three. If anyone comes to you and says that the Godhead is made up of three Gods, then they are lying to you. If anyone comes to you and says that the Father has a body of flesh and bones, then they don’t understand scripture, for only Jesus became flesh and dwelt among us, not the Father. Lastly, just remember that God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one God. They are comprised of three persons, working in perfect unity. Amen.
