I pray that every person would pray this prayer. “hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.” (Psalm 27:7-10) If you have not been sincere with God, now is the time for you to repent and confess your sins. We have all fallen short of the glory of God. Everyone has sinned before the Almighty God of the heavens and earth. Now is the time to tell God sorry. To recognize your need for a Savior, who is Jesus. Come unto Him fully. As a preacher and evangelist, I cannot convince anyone to get right with God, but the Holy Spirit can. This life is short. Make the most of it for God while you still have breath. Jesus is waiting at the door. Knock and He will open up to You today. Heaven is one step away.
Many people want to take us off the path of righteousness, which is with God, and pull us back into a lifestyle of sin and darkness. Therefore, it is good to seek the Lord daily. We do this by having God in our thoughts on a continual basis, along with praying and reading His Word, the Bible. And so we call upon His Name and say, “teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” (Psalm 27:11-14) I do pray that God will be your teacher and your deliverer. The evil one is very sly in making what is evil appear to be good. He is very crafty in making false beliefs appear to be God’s ways. However, as we wait on the Lord, the truth is made known to us plainly. God is so good to those who also love Him.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, hear our prayers. People have poured out their hearts to You with all sincerity. God, forgive us our sins. We need a Savior and trust that You, Jesus, can supply our every need. There are many things I could try to do on my own, but how will I be fully satisfied if I end up doing this? The truth is, I can live a life apart from You and find temporary satisfaction and joy. But these things are only for a moment. I have tasted and seen how I can feel high one moment and then feel terrible the next. Guilt and shame always wins the battle for me. This is because of my conscience. Lord, You have never given up on me, nor forsaken me, although I have many times in this life. I deserved Your wrath for the time I was living in sin. Oh, did I feel it. I thought I was too far gone for a person to be saved. But thank God that You had other plans. With Your hands of mercy, my tears were dried up and I saw how forgiving You really are. I love You, Lord. I give You praise! Amen.
