So many people think that they can just live the life they desire, believe in Jesus, and still be saved. And the sad thing is, many people that read this message also compromise their faith while living in willful sin. Things that come to mind are drugs, alcohol, cussing, pornography, homosexuality, fornication, adultery, abortion, dressing immodestly, witchcraft, watching crude and immoral TV shows and movies, and listening to music with cuss words, sex, drinking, and drugs. If people are involved with such things they can call themselves Christians all they want to, but they are not of God and will be judged accordingly. God does not tolerate people who justify their sinful actions and say they can just repent later. Here is why, “now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21) What Paul mentions here are people who love their sinful life more than God. Amen.
Hell is real, my friends. It is unfortunate that the majority of people that call themselves a Christian are really walking in darkness and are deceived because of the lusts of their flesh. The love for the things of this world are in their heart and their minds, not Jesus. The Lord could be lighting up their lives and removing every ounce of darkness, but people are resisting God’s sanctification power. Here is the truth. Every person is able to be saved through the blood of Jesus, but they need to stop justifying their sinful actions. This needs to happen before any change can happen by way of God in their lives. Only by giving into God and the power of the Holy Spirit, will they be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is written, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:22-25) If you want true forgiveness, Jesus can give it. However, you must allow Him to crucify the lusts in your flesh. We are then able to walk in the light of the Spirit because Christ is in us. Amen.
Let us pray:
Lord, I often wonder many people are actually saved. People predict that it is in the billions of people that are currently in paradise awaiting to go through the gates of heaven. However, my soul fears that far less people are actually saved than predicted. That because of the lusts of the flesh, people live in darkness while calling themselves Christians. This is so true and I have seen this dozens and dozens of times in my life. Lord, I not only see a very dark generation of people that say they believe but live an entirely different life. People who appear very righteous at church, but outside those walls, they are no different than wicked people in the world. Secret sins rule their lives while calling upon Your Name in all their confessions is hard to find. But this does not have to happen in the long run. I believe that You will do a work in many more people’s lives and save the uttermost. Surely, there are millions of people in heaven from over the centuries, but this is because the Holy Spirit has set so many rivals in people’s lives. But where are these revivals today, God? Wake people up from their sleep into knowing You as their Lord and Savior. I believe in You. I trust in You, God. I love You, Lord. Amen.
