Heaven Is For Believers In Christ

When it comes to heaven, most people want to go there, but not everybody knows how. However, all this is made known to those that read and study the Bible, for it describes to us exactly how we can enter in. This is because Jesus explained that every person that believes in Him is there with him. He said, “let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” (John 14:1-4) Isn’t it amazing that we can be assured that we are saved through our faith in Christ? It sure is. In order to be in paradise after death, our own good works don’t matter, but the works of Jesus in us. This is true faith. It is when His will becomes a part of who we are, then we have faith that is alive. Sure, people can say they believe in Jesus, but really there life doesn’t show it. Therefore, it is important to walk in the love of Jesus, as this is obeying God and His commandments for our lives. Then, will the love and light of God be showcased in our lives to all people. This is acting as Christ would if He was here also.

So what will heaven be like for those that believed in Jesus, even until death? Well, John said the following through a revelation from Jesus Christ. He said, “and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” (Revelation 21:4-7) Heaven It is more glorious then we can ever imagine. However, these verses don’t stop here. There is a warning to those that continue to live in willful sin. It reads, “but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) You see, there is a place prepared for the righteousness of God and the wickedness of this world. Now, only through Christ are we made holy as He is holy.

You will know if you are heaven-bound if you love Jesus and really enjoy doing His will, even more than anything else. Why is this? It is because only if you love the things of God and are applying them to your lives, will you also fit in with those in heaven. I am not talking about people that are high and mighty, but simple people that love the Lord and His principles for their lives and are also desirous to walk in them. You can be rest assured that heaven is a place where only the true believers of Jesus are. They are His friends, for they love doing His will. We know this since Jesus said, “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another.” (John 15:14-17) In conclusion, following Jesus and doing His will is setting your course for heaven. This is true belief in action, of which will save your soul from hell and elevate you into heaven.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, it is heaven that I wish to be at when this life is over. And there is only one reason for this. It is because You will be there. I love You more than anything else and to have You in my presence forever is the best thing I can hope for. You are my bride and I can’t wait to spend all eternity with You, my King and my God. If there is anything that You wish for my life now, please make me aware of such things. I do not wish to fulfill the lusts of my flesh any longer, for Your ways are more important to me. Therefore, use me in Your kingdom, that I may do something that is amazing in Your sight. It is the greatest joy of all to get out of my comfort zone and act upon my goodly instincts that come from You. I have seen many people come to faith because I decided to go out on the streets and witness Your truths with people. I have seen people be healed because You have answered mine and their prayers. Miracles are not a thing of the past, for You are working in me and many other Christians that love You with their whole hearts. Even people that are homeless are being fed, and given the things they need because people are out there serving them as You have served us. This is spreading joy and I cannot do this enough. So continue to use me and others in Your kingdom, until the day You call us home. Then, will we and others we’ve helped be with You in heaven for all eternity. So be near me all the days of my life and lead me from temptation. I love You, Lord. Amen.

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
