What does it matter if you learn from all the greatest books in this world but miss out on divine wisdom from God in the Bible? All your life, you could find yourself being enlightened by the things of this world, instead of God. And this is not only what I worry about, but the Lord God also. He does not wish for you to miss your chance at salvation. But if your desires are to learn from other sources but Him, then you have chosen the wrong path. Come death, It will be a sad day for these people, as they go before Jesus in judgement. 3Because He does not know them, they are not allowed into His heaven and instead, cast into hell. So how can Jesus know us? The answer is, through many things. That can include much prayer for yourself and others, reading the Bible alone and in a Bible study, Christian worship music, Church service, service, feeding the homeless, street evangelism and many more things that God has us do. The thing is, God puts these things and other great things for us to do in our hearts. It is then up to act on His promptings and do His will, that counts. When the Lord starts moving in our lives, it becomes less of a struggle to walk in the light but a lifestyle. We come to God often for understanding, for He is the author of our salvation. There is much wisdom to behold from the Lord. Everyone that is open to Him in prayer and His Words will receive understanding. Solomon Said, 1“Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.”
Though a person of faith may desire to come to learn from God, Satan uses many different things to deter them. One of these things are our phones. Though these devices can be a great good for God’s cause, they can also be a huge hindrance to a person coming to the Lord. All the social media apps and YouTube is taking away people’s precious time. Selfies is making people more into themselves. Texting is making people less talkative. Facebook is keeping people from visiting people in person. Solomon spoke out about this when he said, 1“there are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.” This is so true. People’s personal devices have taken over their hearts. And most people are more preoccupied with them than doing God’s will. Please know that where you have given all your time to something, that is the person you have become. Jesus said, 2“where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Smart phones truly take away your time for God. And if this has happened to you, repent. Humble yourselves before God in prayer and ask for forgiveness. Give into His instructions, as He corrects you. There is hope, when God chastens us, for as we are in the world, there is darkness and no light. Because the Lord God desires for us to be sanctified by His blood, it means that there is forgiveness and a way out of the mess we are in. Will you turn from your wickedness and come to God? God bless you, as you come to Jesus today.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, please help people realize the necessity to learn from You. Help them understand that the things of this world only deter them from coming to You for wisdom. There is no lasting happiness in doing things that please the flesh but only guilt. Deliver them from such wicked acts. So much time is wasted with smart phones now-a-days. Even people in the faith are going off track because their time is spent apart from You. Help people see what these devices are doing to them. Satan has a stronghold on people’s lives and we all need Your deliverance. Instead of going off track, because of the lusts of our flesh and our personal devices, change us from within. Give us new desires to walk in Your light and use the things we have for Your glory. If it is to read the Bible from our smart phones, give us these desires. If it is to download devotional apps that draw us nearer to You, help us do that also. Whatever you would have us do, lead us in these things. Draw us nearer to You Jesus and away from the sins of this world. We wish to develop a personal relationship with You God. You are our only hope and we trust in You for salvation. We believe in You. We love You. Amen.
