The way we honor God, will lead us to either obey or disobey Him. When there is no respect for God, we blatantly act out and lead a different life. We become content with our own life and block out the things of God. Some may go to church but in their hearts, they are far from the Lord. It must be more than an outward expression but also an inward expression of love and respect towards God. Our walk with God is similar to the way kids respect their parents. When they think they are right, they make it known and act out. Others acknowledge their mistakes and say sorry. Some kids do things in secret, in order to get their way. Only when they are caught, do some learn. Some kids have so much respect for their parents that they listen and learn as best they can. When chores are introduced, many are unhappy but some do so because of their love for their parents. Many kids may feel forced to go places with their parents, however, some are content and are happy with their parents’ decision. Those that are happy, will listen and make the most out of their time. Don’t get me wrong, kids are precious in the sight of God. However, Let us look at these interactions and compare this to our walk with God. The way we treat our parents is often the same way people treat God.
How can somebody believe in their heart that they are saved, when they are acting out against God. Often people have other things that give them comfort and joy. 1They disregard the importance of prayer and lean unto their own understanding. There are some that desire to do God’s will, over their own, and seek Him for understanding, in the Bible. So many people willfully sin and even do so in secret. However, our sins are ever present in the eyes of God. How could we ever think we could hide our sins from God? Those that love God, know this and give all their sins to Jesus, in order to be covered by His blood. He is able to break them free and change them from within. God’s commandments are respected by the few that honor Him, as their King. It is a joy to live for Him. When God’s laws are a burden, it is telling Him that He doesn’t know best for our lives. These people have no need for a Savior, as they do not want to be led by Him. As a Christian, it is an honor to be directed by the Holy Spirit. The decisions that God makes in my life, I cherish. There is a path that leads to God and to hell. If we are all in for Jesus and desire to learn and walk in His ways, then we can be assured of our salvation. Otherwise, we are lost and have no place in heaven. Repent now before it is too late.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that I may no longer disrespect You. I no longer wish to go against Your ways. I am sorry for disobeying Your laws. I know that You can see the wickedness in my life and that I can never hide things from You. Lord, will You cleanse me of all my sin? Change my heart, oh God. Transform my life to follow You. I may not have listened to You in the past, but my heart and mind are open now. Feed me with Your Spirit and counsel me in Your ways. Give me direction, oh Lord. I need Your presence in my life. I’ve been so lost without You. I know that You can turn my life around. You can make a way that miracles can take place. I trust in Your healing hand. You are my Savior and give me hope. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
