The judgement of God is forthcoming. The wicked will not escape the wrath of God. The Lord is merciful to the humble but is also just. He is swift to judge the sinner that never makes themselves right with Him. Our time on earth is only a moment compared to our time in heaven or hell. Are we making every minute count when it comes to following Jesus? Everyone that trusted in Jesus will be saved but the wicked who ignored Him will be damned. We are either enemies of God or on His side. What side are you on? 4Is your faith strengthened daily by the Word of God? Do you find rest, often, in the presence of God, through prayer? Is it your hearts intent to find peace with God and not man? Do you love the Lord enough to obey His commandments? These are the traits of His elect. Those that love Him more than anything this world could offer. To be with the Lord means everything. However, so many so-called Christians don’t fall in the category above. They’d rather go to church on the weekend but during the week live for themselves. Their time with God is hard to find. I asked a man, not to long ago, if he believed in Jesus and he said, “yes”. I then asked him, “how often do you read the Bible?” He replied, “I’ve read it before”. I then asked, “how can you believe if you don’t read His words daily?” He then understood that words mean nothing if they aren’t doing anything. If you truly believe in Jesus then follow Him. 5Seek to know Him daily. Make it a habit to give Him the time He deserves each day. Know that God can see His followers. He can also see all the many others that do not truly love Him.
In judgement, I will be anxiously awaiting my time with the Lord. I love Jesus with all my heart and can’t wait to be with Him. However, this will not be the stance of most others around me. 2The road to heaven is narrow but the road to hell is wide. Most people will be gritting their teeth in fear and trembling. In Psalm 9, it reads, 1“The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.” Those that don’t make God a priority will have their part in the lake of fire. 1“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” Know that God loves everyone but His wrath is real. Those that are not for His cause will not be welcomed home. This includes, not caring for the poor and homeless. 1“For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.” If you say you are Christian but don’t help the homeless then His love is not in you. I encourage you all to live your faith in God. As the Bible teaches, 3“love the Lord thy God with all thy heart” and “love thy neighbour as thyself”. Think more about helping one another over yourself. Most importantly, carry God’s Word in your heart and mind that you may know what is right and wrong. Pray for God’s counsel that you may know His will for your life. Let it be the Lord’s desires over your own.
Let us pray:
Lord, I know your judgements are righteous. I pray that anyone that isn’t for you now will repent. Help them make this a high priority in their life. Time is short. Your wrath is real and so is Your love for the sinner that repents. Thank You for taking me in though I didn’t deserve it. I love You. Amen.
Let us read the Bible:
