Can We Trust the Book Of Mormon? Plagiarism Found?

For every person who is a Latter Day Saint, they need to ask themselves, can I trust the Book of Mormon, and if so, why. This is because, even if a book sounds Biblical as we read it, this could still be a work of man and not God. And as I’ve read the Book of Mormon I see more man-made mistakes, aka plagiarism, when it comes to comparing its verses with the Bible. Look at these passages from the Book of Mormon as an example…

If Moroni was a real person then he must have known Paul as he quotes from him directly. The problem here is that they would not have known each other being on a different continent. See his statement about Charity and what Paul below that….

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, if ye have not charity, ye are nothing, for charity never faileth. Wherefore, cleave unto charity, which is the greatest of all, for all things must fail.” (Moroni 7:45,46)

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

Even in Mosiah, a king named Benjamin quoted Paul about being steadfast in the Lord. The problem here is that this was around 124 BC and Paul hadn’t been born yet. See this reference in the Book of Mormon below when compared to Paul’s writings…

“Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.” (Mosiah 5:15)

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:57,58)

As you can see above, we got verses that are not just quoted but changed in the Book of Mormon when compared to the Bible. In God’s eyes , this is a criminal offense, for doing this changes the actual meaning of the Biblical text. This was also done for verses in the Book of Revelation. Below is just one of many instances of this happening. We also see the King James Version of the Bible referenced in Moroni. However, like before, words are changed and the meaning is removed as you see holy changed to happy. This is a big No, No, ad Joseph Smith will be dealt with harshly for doing this. See below…

And then cometh the judgment of the Holy One upon them; and then cometh the time that he that is filthy shall be filthy still; and he that is righteous shall be righteous still; he that is happy shall be happy still; and he that is unhappy shall be unhappy still.” (Mormon 9:14)

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” (Revelation 22:11)

These are just three instances of plagiarism in the Book of Mormon, although there are 35+ already found on the Book Of Mormon Plagiarism Page. I will say that changing the Book of Revelation also has many plagues and warnings associated with it, knowing it was willingly changed. John said, “for I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18,19)

This means that Joseph Smith’s name has been removed from the Lamb’s Book of Life. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15) So now we learn where Joseph Smith is now. He is currently in hell and waiting to find out that his name is not in the Book of Life. Therefore, he will be thrown into the lake of fire. This is not the news you came here to hear about but it is true nonetheless. Come unto Jesus today. Don’t be found following or believing false teachers that only lead to destruction. This message is a warning to every person who calls themselves a Latter Day Saint. Come out of Mormonism and resign today! Do this for Jesus and to be saved. Amen.
