The Lord is our light and our strength. He lifts us up and gives us hope. We can see clearly when He with us. He shines bright in the darkness. We know where to go for He leads us. He carries us through the storms of life. We are strengthened for He gives us knowledge. Jesus said that when we see 1“the light of this world”, we do not stumble. For the light of Christ is in us. It is an amazing gift to have the Holy Spirit in our hearts. We should treasure the time we have with the Lord. It’s those times that we don’t seek Him that we live our lives with blinders on. We don’t know where to go because there is no light in front of us. All those that forget the Lord are walking in the night. There is no path to follow. When the Lord is with us, His path is made evident. He leads us by the hand to His heavenly home above.
Many times I didn’t prioritize my time for God and I felt alone. I’d have hope for the Lord on Sunday’s, when I went to church, but during the week I was alone. It wasn’t God’s fault for it was I that neglected Him. I never really gave Him the attention He deserved. I did so much to please the lusts of the flesh and never had a need for prayer. It was a dark time. When I started praying, I could feel the presence of the Lord. His love was all around me. Reading the Bible drew me closer to Jesus each day that I read. His light came into my heart like a fire. It shown bright within me. This flame has not died down and will live on forever. For His lighthouse never goes dim. Thank You for changing my life Lord. I love Your presence. Thank You for Your compassion. May Your light always shine bright in my life. I love You.
