The Lord’s ways are essential to our salvation. Walking in our own ways will only lead us away from Christ. Many false principles can begin to emerge if we let our flesh do the talking and not God. Overtime people may justify their sinful acts just because they don’t feel like they are in error. However, to be ignorant of our addictions does not mean that God isn’t judging us. Our vile acts are seen openly in the sight of God. The Bible is our resource for truth. As we read through its pages we will discover the path to eternal life. The Lord will show us what He loves and what He detests. One thing that is awful in God’s sight is polygamy. This is another form of fornication. This sin and other sexual sins can keep us out of heaven if we don’t repent. It is only through the washing of Christ’s blood that we can be justified in His presence. This man made practice was never from God. People can justify things all they want but the Lord instituted marriage between man and woman. It is plain and simple. Changing the word to conform to our life is not right.
We must keep high standards and not be like the world. As we stay true to the Bible we will know what is true and what is false. Take courage and be strong in your faith of Jesus. Know this, any church built on the roots of polygamy is not of God. Do not be deceived. There is a spiritual war against all Christians but we can win the battle. This battle was raging in the times of Jacob. His heart was for Rachel but because the institute of marriage was broken He could never be truly happy in that relationship because of Leah. We must be equipped with the Word of God or else we can easily be led astray. The Lord will watch over and protect us when we follow Him. Our prayers will be answered. The Holy Spirit will touch down on our lives and give us understanding. Abide in the will of God. Come broken before Him in prayer often. Give Him your heart and mind. Let His peace lift up your soul. Rest awhile with the Lord. The tranquility of the Lord will lift us up to do great things. He will teach us how to live a life full of light. Lead me Lord. I love You with all my heart.
Genesis 29:21-30
21 Then Jacob said to Laban, “Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in to her.”
22 And Laban gathered together all the men of the place and made a feast.
23 Now it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter and brought her to Jacob; and he went in to her.
24 And Laban gave his maid Zilpah to his daughter Leah as a maid.
25 So it came to pass in the morning, that behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Rachel that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?”
26 And Laban said, “It must not be done so in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
27 Fulfill her week, and we will give you this one also for the service which you will serve with me still another seven years.”
28 Then Jacob did so and fulfilled her week. So he gave him his daughter Rachel as wife also.
29 And Laban gave his maid Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as a maid.
30 Then Jacob also went in to Rachel, and he also loved Rachel more than Leah. And he served with Laban still another seven years.
