Trust God

Even when your fears are great, trust in God. In the very moment when your heart has sunk to despair know the Lord is with you. He is reaching out to you if you might look to Him for answers. Nothing is too hard for the Lord. Take Him by the hand and let Him lead you in prayer. You will be safe in His arms. He will take you out of the most dangerous situations. He will be your shield when you need Him most. Don’t give up hope in the one true God. He will take down all of your despair and give you rest. Trusting in ourselves in the storms of life will only make things worse. It isn’t worth the pain that accompanies these choices. Isaac had much fear for their was a great famine and the king’s men were starting to ask questions about his wife. For fear that the king’s men would kill him if they knew Rebekah was his wife he told them she was his sister. He felt safe in his own decision. However, King Abimelech knew something was up when he saw the way they were around each other. So he confronted Isaac and asked him about his lie, “Quite obviously she is your wife; so how could you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac then told the king, “Because I said, ‘Lest I die on account of her.’” Abimelech later responded, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might soon have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us.” Are our fears worth doing harm to someone we love? Our choices in life are not worth the consequences they endure later on

Trust in God and not your own self lest you make bad choices. God will build you up and make you strong in the storms of life. When things seem dark He will light up the way with His beauty. He will take our weaknesses and make us strong. All He requires is that we give Him our whole heart. Oh the joy we could feel in our hearts if we let Him in. Tears of joy would be shed for we were dead but are alive in Jesus. Don’t let your sins keep you away from the Lord. All of your shame can be undone with the power of God. There are no chains that can keep us bound that the Lord can’t lose. Give it all to Him and He will make you free indeed. Pray with a broken heart. Ask for forgiveness. Let the Spirit take wind inside your soul. He will take you to a place where only love can abound. He will give you peace. His grace will do miracles in your life. Our hope in God will be reinvigorated. Though we may not do all things perfect we will strive to be like God. The Lord will abide in our hearts. Oh Lord, my trust is in You. All of your dealings are for my good. May your will be done in my life. I have no fear for You bring joy to my heart. Your promises are good and pure. I reach for You and put all my fears in your hands. May I always have courage to come to You when things are difficult. Build me up and give me courage. You are shield and my fortress. You are most important in my life.

Genesis 26:6-11
6 So Isaac dwelt in Gerar. 7 And the men of the place asked about his wife. And he said, “She is my sister”; for he was afraid to say, “She is my wife,” because he thought, “lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, because she is beautiful to behold.”
8 Now it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked through a window, and saw, and there was Isaac, showing endearment to Rebekah his wife.
9 Then Abimelech called Isaac and said, “Quite obviously she is your wife; so how could you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac said to him, “Because I said, ‘Lest I die on account of her.’”
10 And Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might soon have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us.”
11 So Abimelech charged all his people, saying, “He who touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”
