If you’ve ever wondered why Mormons believe in three kingdoms in heaven, it comes from 1 Corinthians 15:40. In the KJV, it mentions bodies terrestrial (earthly bodies) and celestial (heavenly resurrected bodies), but the JST changes everything. It adds a new word called “telestial”, which adds a new doctrine to the mix. Where instead of terrestrial and celestial being bodies, they are now kingdoms in heaven. See below for this addition of “telestial” in the JST. This is another reason why Joseph Smith is a false prophet.
There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.” (1 Corinthians 15:40 – KJV)
“Also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial and bodies telestial; but the glory of the celestial one, and the terrestrial another, and the telestial another.” (1 Corinthians 15:40 – JST)
