The Lord Loves Righteousness And Hates Wickedness

The Lord’s throne is forever and ever. He loves righteousness and hates wickedness. Wickedness equals not doing His will, but what the flesh wants. God hates it when people willfully sin and here are some definitions of willful sin. It could mean, not confessing our sins when we know we have sinned against God. It could mean, sweeping our sins under the rug like they never happened. It could mean, justifying our sins in order to continue in our wicked ways. It could mean, falling into sin and saying I will repent later. It could mean, saying that since we have faith in Jesus we can sin all we want. It could mean, continuing to believe in something that we know is false. David wrote, “thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Psalm 45:6,7) Willful sins lead to abundant wickedness in a person’s life. Therefore, we need to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith.

God loves it when we do His will on earth. Doing His will means living in His righteousness. This could can mean, reading the Bible daily and do as God says. This could mean, praying often, while listening to and accepting God’s counsel. And so Jesus’s true followers confess their sins openly, while turning from them, and being covered by Jesus’s blood. This is a daily walk to love and forgive one another, care for the needy, walk in God’s spiritual giftings in our lives, and continuing to seek the Lord often and do His will. In Hebrews, we also learn how God loves righteousness and hates wickedness. It quotes David, “but unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Hebrews 1:8,9) Please know that your next sin could be your last. To continue on with porn, lust, and more, is destroying your life. Come to Jesus today. Don’t delay. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people’s lives will be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. I am praying that people will get radically saved and know what the Holy Ghost can do in a person’s life. God, so many people are living for their own flesh when Your kingdom is ready and willing to be made manifest in their lives instead. Why is it that people are choosing a life of sin, and their same daily routine, when they also say they have faith in You? This is so hypocritical. Truly, we cannot say we are for You when we are also living for the world. All I ask, God, is that people make a choice today to either be on Your side or not. We cannot have one foot in Your kingdom and another in the evil things of this world and think we are saved. If people say they are for You, then Your works for Your kingdom would be on full display. Sin would not abound, for every bit of darkness is scattered in Your Name, Jesus. May people choose You, Jesus, and love You by keeping Your commandments. This I pray, Jesus. May Your Name be forever praised. I love You, Lord. Amen.
