This was the last day of the mission trip. Time was limited as always on this day, but we made the most of it for sure. It started with us walking the streets of Salt Lake City and also talking to many people about Jesus. On our walk, Chloe and I decided to go into the Church of Scientology. This is when a lady showed us some videos on their beliefs, and I asked her several questions concerning the afterlife and Jesus. She was very kind and we were also very respectful to her also. She was lost, however, as she subscribes to the church of Scientology and doesn’t put her faith in Jesus. Although she believes he was a real person. Patrick went ahead during this time. After leaving this building, Chloe and I talked with this Muslim man. We both explained how Jesus is God and not a prophet. Chloe also went into depth about the engiel, which is the Bible and he needs to read it, along with many other great points about Allah being Satan and more. He seemed very convicted but was closed off to the truth, nonetheless. We then made it to the grassy area at the library. This is where many homeless people were camping out. Our time here had its ups and downs as you will read next.
While at the library, Chloe, Patrick, and I talked with three young men in their early twenties. There, we helped explain the gospel message of Jesus. They were very receptive to the message. One person received prayer and two others received a Bible. Praise God. Another man recently had a Bible with him, but it was stolen, so I gave him one. He mentioned how he loves to pass out Bibles and also tell others about Jesus. This was before his Bibles were stolen. He was grateful to receive a new Bible. He has run into hard times so Chloe and I prayed over him. He was so grateful to have us with him. I was able to read from the last few verses of Revelation 22, which he loved, and Chloe was able to share the gospel with him. Others were upset that we were disturbing them, so we left. As we all walked the streets, once again, we passed out more tracts. One man was convicted of his drinking problem when we approached him, but took a tract from us nonetheless. He said he believed in Jesus. The day ended with Chloe, Patrick, and I departing. Patrick and I had lunch and then said farewell to each other. What day to end the mission trip. God be the glory and praise. Amen.
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:17-21)
