The Holy Spirit is what every believer in Jesus Christ needs, although many people have never experienced it in their lifetime. And if you are among these people, or don’t have the Spirit in your life now, then there must be a problem with sin and your faith. In order to have this gift from God, you must first be right with Him. So what this takes is first coming to God with your confessions and repent of your sins. It was John the Baptist that first came to call people to repentance. So we need to first do what John taught the people, which was to repent and come to Jesus, which he was preparing them all for. He said, 1“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” (Matthew 3:11) So John brought people to God through the baptism of repentance, and Jesus, our Lord, then give His true followers the second baptism, which is of the Holy Spirit. This can be seen when Jesus breathed on His disciples, after he was resurrected from the dead, and they received the Holy Spirit. It is recorded on the day of Jesus’s resurrection, when Jesus appeared to His Disciples, the following, He said, 2“peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” (John 20:20,21) So we see here that Jesus fulfilled what John was speaking of, as He gave unto His twelve disciples the Holy Spirit. It was through the Spirit, that they were then able to then go out in all the world and preach the gospel.
The day that Jesus came unto His disciples, the day of His resurrection, He ushered in the holy Spirit to them. However, it was then that others would also gain the same gift. This was fulfilled when the fire of the Holy Spirit came down from the heavens and upon the people, at the day of Pentecost. It was here that the people felt something like never before. It was amazing and could only be known as the fire of the Holy Ghost , of which John spoke of that Jesus would bring. It reads, 3“and when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4) It was this point that the fire of the Holy Spirit was real for everyone. Everyone that believes and follows Jesus will experience this. No longer are we alone in this world, for now we have the Holy Spirit with us. As we follow Jesus, we are able to walk through the darkness of this world with the fire of the Holy Spirit lighting the path ahead of us. We are no longer wandering in this world alone, but light bearers for Christ. If you are not filled with the Holy Spirit, then start reading the Bible daily, pray often, do things that God approves of, and especially, start witnessing the truths of God with others. This will bring in the Spirit like no other, and You will know the truth, for God will be with You all the way. God bless you, my friends.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people of all the world will come to know You. Just like the day of Pentecost, I pray that the fire of the Holy Spirit will reign down upon these people. Give them words to speak and a path to follow. In our own flesh we are weak, but in the Spirit we are strong. Every temptation can have a stronghold upon our lives and lead us into paths of darkness, which is hard to escape. So Lord, lead us out of temptation and build us up with Your armor, that we might start resisting the charms and temptations of the enemy, starting today. Your ways are higher and can lead us out of a life of sin. The guilt and shame that people are experiencing, because of the bondage they are in, can only be broken with Your presence in their lives. It is my prayer that people will find a way out of their broken life and come to You for their fullness of joy. Only then can they be brought to know You and have Your truth in their lives. It is the fire of the Holy Spirit that leads us to what is true and Your Words in the Bible confirm this truth. Thank You Lord for giving us a way out of the darkness of this world and for leading us in Your light. I want more of You and less of me. As I go forth, may what I say and do be less about myself and more about You. I want all the world to know You, Jesus, as their personal Savior. So give me the words to speak to them. Fill me up with the Holy Spirit and allow Your fire to go forth in my life. Break the strong holds that are holding people back from doing the same thing for your cause. Only You can give us ears to hear and eyes to see. I love You Lord. I trust in You, God. Amen.

Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
