When it comes to the Second Coming of Jesus, it is not going to be a fun time for sinners that are still left on earth. Surely, only true believers in Christ will endure it and be saved. Now concerning the unrighteous of God, these people will encounter the wrath of God in a big way. To understand this, we will open up our Bible to Isaiah, chapter 13, starting with verse 9 and going through the end of that chapter. Verse 9 reads, 1“behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.” So we learn that God’s fierce anger is upon the sinners, and in the day, they will not survive His wrath any longer. Before their time has come to die, these vile sinners, that abound in the luxuries of this life, are into sexual sin, drugs and alcohol, will go through many trials and tribulations. And all this is because of the hardness of their hearts. Their pride has taken them to this place of destruction. While alive, the wicked will have no light to shine upon them any longer. Verse 10 reads, 1“for the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.” And with no light, the earth will be very cold, it will be hard to breath, food will scarce as growing things will be very hard. Over time, things will just die off.
In verse 11, we learn more about the people’s lives and their pride. How this has ultimately led them to the punishments at hand. Therefore, they will have to pay dearly for their sins. Sure, these people may think they are okay with their life now and that no evil will befall them. However, in the time that Jesus comes, all of this will change in a blink of an eye. Verse 11 reads, 1“and I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.” Surely, what God is going to orchestrate on this earth is going to be terrible for every sinner that has not come to Jesus and repented. Verse 13 and 14 is an example of this, as it talks about great earthquakes on the earth, that we have never seen before, that will put people in panic mode. Those verses read, 1“therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.” 1“They shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.” Now if you can imagine freeways jam packed and not able to escape the chaos. And then imagine people running to people’s homes and then finding their friends and family dead already. Even places where you thought were safe are no longer because volcanos have erupted, because of such earthquakes.
Now, the next part of this discussion takes a turn for the worse. It is even hard for me to write on, because of the devastation of the earth and the people, woman and children. Verses 15 and 16 reads, 1“Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.” Can you imagine people coming into your home your wife and innocent children? Oh, the evil at this time, surely, without God, it has caused people to do such horrific things. Verse 18 continues, 1“their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.” So pregnant women will be killed along with the unborn children as well. Now don’t think that this is caused by God. It is the evil dealings of mankind that cause people to kill the innocent. The same can be said for those now that are involved with abortion. Millions of unborn babies are being killed every day and most people see nothing wrong with this. However, God does. Surely, His wrath is upon such people that participate in these murderous acts. Abortion is an abomination to God. Anyone involved with this is in a lot of trouble with God. His wrath is upon them. Lest these people repent, Hell is their destination.
Now the end of the sinners days will be numbered, much like God destroyed Sodom. It is when the Whore of Babylon is also destroyed with fire. As is mentioned in Verses 19 through 22, God will destroy these lands and the people there in it. Even so that people will no longer inhabit it but the beasts of the field. These verses read, 1“and Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate house.” So, when speaking of Babylon, God said, 1“her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.” Now you may be thinking, 1“I have nothing to worry about, for Jesus is not coming in my time.” However, Jesus will come, even as a thief in the night. Jesus therefore taught, 2“watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” So I pray that You will make a choice to believe in and follow Jesus today. No longer walk in sin, lest you be destroyed at His coming. 3Also, in death, all unrepentant sinners will have their part in the lake of fire. So make a choice today to serve God and leave your unrighteous life behind.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people are waiting and watching for Your coming. May every person that says that they believe in You, truly live out their faith and trust in You until the end. It is common now-a-days to hear people say that they are Christians, when truly they are living a life of sin and addiction. It is because repentance is not taught at all or not as often as it should that people think that they are good with you, as all people are sinners. However, we both know that these false pastors and teachers are only leading people astray. And if the people and teachers do not wake up to their sins, then their souls will continue in darkness and be destroyed. What people are forgetting, Lord, is their time with You in prayer and reading Your Word. If only these two things were continued on a day-to-day basis, people would be loving You over the world. They would have made a side to follow You and keep Your commandments and not sin. And because their trust would be in You, You would be their defense and their shield. Yes Lord, this is missing in the hearts of too many people and I am saddened by it. It truly makes me wonder what people are thinking now-a-days. I just pray that a line will be drawn in people’s lives. That You will come and convict them of their sins and that they will react to it in a positive way. Then will they find Your grace and forgiveness, before their time is done. Otherwise, their future is bleak. Lord, many more souls be saved, in Your Holy Name. Amen.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
3Revelation 20:11-15 (KJV)

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
