Love is in the air when God is in our lives. He stirs inside the lives of each married couple and helps them love their spouse that a much deeper. If you are wondering how much greater your relationship will get, then think back on your courting time with your spouse and then double that. God will help you experience even greater love. You may ask, how can God do such great things? Well, He is the almighty God, after all. He is the one that has asked man to 1“cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” If you believe this, then sparks will fly once again. He will take your relationship to cloud nine. And once this happens, you won’t help but tell your husband or wife how beautiful they are. You won’t help but delight in their company and do special things for them. Just being around them will bring you great joy. This same thing happened with Solomon and his wife. Here are just a few things they said and experienced. Starting with his wife, she said, 2“he brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.”
Solomon also spoke of his spouse in the same manner and said, 2“arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.” The way they speak to one another may seem right out of a fairy tale but it was true and genuine, nonetheless. This type of love, that brings about fireworks in each spouse’s lives, is amazing. And once this love from above comes inside of you, your spouse will also be greatly impacted by your love for them. God will move you to speak to the very soul of your spouse. You will say things that will move them in a way that will truly impact them. Even feelings of great joy will fill their soul. And when both spouses are in line with God, these natural instincts will reign true. So come away with God and He will resurrect your love for your spouse. Your relationship will blossom each day that you seek Him. The passion that a marriage needs can come back to life with God in the mix. His love will help turn your heart to your spouse. Believe in the Lord and your marriage will come back to life again.
Let us pray:
Lord, I need You. Your love is greater than my own. I need love that lasts and can continue to impact lives for the better, especially my wife’s. Your love moves me to do things that I am incapable of on my own. But in the same light, it is what I need in my marriage. Come and raise me up into Your everlasting love, that it might stir inside of me and do something amazing in my life and my marriage. I know that what I have with her can be elevated. I trust in You to help me say and do things that are genuine. I may not be the best at describing my feelings but with You in my life, I am able to converse and talk with her and not feel intimidated. You help me showcase love through words and even actions. My wife knows she is beautiful and loved when You are moving me to genuinely care for her. You turn my thoughts upon her and put excitement back into my life. Surely, I can’t wait to have her around that I might see her beautiful countenance. I can’t wait to spend time with my love. Lord, You have brought me to this place and I am humbled to have such a sweet wife. I love You. Amen.
