Lower Your Pride And Pray

When life takes you to a place where prosperity begins to fill your void in life, outside of Jesus, take caution in this. Our lives greatest achievements can bring us joy but without the Lord it will never last. It can take us to a place where our pride takes over, making us feel like we are well off without God. We may even say to ourselves, 1“in my prosperity”, 1“I shall never be moved.” I can’t tell you how many people I’ve met that say they are doing very well without God. However, many of these same people, as months go by, are running into hard times. In God’s favor, He allows us to prosper for a time. And then when we decide we need God, we may say to Him, 1“thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.” Our joy has turned into sorrow for the Lord felt distant. In our prayers, we may say, 1“I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.” Now take your supplications to God and say,1“Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.” Everyone that turns from their sins and confesses them in prayer, will find mercy and forgiveness. God, can see our heartfelt cry and will come to our needs.

The Lord has heard my cries when I was down and depressed. I had known in my heart that I had left God. My life was full of sin and wickedness. God could have very well shown His wrath towards me, for my sins, and for this I cried out for mercy. As I looked to Jesus, on the cross, and the blood He spilled for me, I felt His mighty presence. The Lord showed to me His great love for dying for my sins. It was this time in prayer that the weight of my sins were lifted. I felt forgiven and a change happening in my heart. Though I had walked in sin, He came and rescued me from death. Thank You Lord. 1“Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness.” All tears turned in joy. I was filled with the Holy Spirit of God. I am so happy now. 1“To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.” I am not ashamed to serve the Lord for He is mighty to save. My heart sings praises to the Lord Almighty. I rejoice for I was lost and have been found. The Lord helps me live a life for Him and not the world. Thank You Lord.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for redeeming me of all my sins. You show me such kindness, though I betrayed You. I walked in the pride of my heart for many years but You still took me in. The weight of my sins had no match to Your great love. As Your arms took me in, I was changed. You showed me that I am better than what the world offers. I can walk free from addiction, because the Holy Spirit is with me. Lord, when I fall, have mercy on me. My flesh is weak but with You in my life I am stronger. Keep me on Your path, oh Lord. I need You in my life always. No prosperity will ever bring me greater joy than to be in Your presence. I praise Your Holy Name. No one stands above You. I Love You. Amen.
