The love of Jesus never fails. Whenever we need Him, He will be there. He is everything we need to be happy. He supplies our every need. On the cross, His blood was shed that we might live again. John taught, “hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us.” He felt each one of our pains. His love brings us out of our sorrows and into His light. God delivers us that we might help others come and experience His love also. This love that abides in us ought to be known by all people. If we see another in need love on them as Jesus loves you. Have compassion on others in need. Give your time and money to the poor and afflicted. John continued, “but whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
The Lord my God has shown me such great love. Because of the cross I am rescued from a life of sin. I had nowhere to turn to until He delivered me. I was always torn between my sins and my God until I saw the light. I am no way perfect but am strengthened in His righteousness. I no longer seek a sinful life but to live in holiness in the Lord. I am drawn into His fold because of His great love. It has engulfed my soul. Oh Lord, there is nothing like Your love. I am strengthened each day because of the cross. It is this matchless act of love that gives me hope. It is made clear how much You love each of us and want us to be happy. Thank You for delivering me from my old life of sin. My desire is to know You personally, for You are my King. Guide me and help me walk in Your ways. If I find those in need, I will stop and show them love. I will no longer leave them waiting but deliver them Your love. I love You Lord.
1 John 3:16-18 (KJV)
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
