So Shall I Keep Thy Law

It is important to know God and to Keep His Laws continuously. Walk voluntarily in God’s footsteps with nothing forcing you. Seek to know God’s will and obey His commands for your life. What God has testified to me, I will proclaim to anyone that He puts on my path. I am not ashamed of my testimony of Jesus. My faith in the Lord, my God, is firm and nobody can deter me from His righteous and holy path that I am on. David wrote, “so shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.” (Psalm 119:44-46) This means going on the streets and telling people about Jesus. Even on mission trips where there are thousands of people in attendance. This leads to using a microphone, in order to reach the masses. All we ask is that God uses us and gives us words to speak. Then can we reach the lost.

I delight to do God’s will, for keeping His commandments is not a burden but a blessing. I love Jesus enough to also keep His commands close to my heart and also obey them. Therefore, I come to the Lord daily, in order for Him to hear my cries. To mediate upon God and His laws for mankind is what lifts me up and removes any sorrow from my soul. Living for the Lord brings me joy. It is important to remember God all throughout our lives. Only by doing this will we find true joy and happiness that doesn’t end. Lastly, David wrote, “and I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.” (Psalm 119:47-49) It is my prayer that you remember the words of the Lord in this Psalm. God is speaking to you through these words. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that our hearts will become knit with Yours. To not rely solely upon people, but put You ahead of them all. The laws on this earth are also important but Your laws trump them all. If only people would the Bible and know the laws that were indicated and taught through Your faithful witnesses. Truly, from what I read in scripture, the words are as important to them as they are to us now. The times we are living in now are a thousand times more advanced but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t more wicked than the world has ever seen. Truly, now is the time to show our true colors for You, Jesus, and proclaim the good news to this broken and dark world we live in. To not be conformed to the ways of the world, but allow the Holy Spirit to be our guide. Yes, God, send the Holy Spirit to more people, that they may also come to know You and be saved. I love You, Jesus. Knowing Your laws and keeping them is my delight. Amen.

  1. Jesus told us that all the commandments are fulfilled in these two commandments: (Paraphrase) Love God with your whole being. Love your neighbor in the same way or with the same intensity as you love yourself.
