If you feel troubled, have people pray over you and also pray, “make haste. Come to my rescue, for my flesh is weak and I need Your protection. Deliver me from the evil one. Help me not fall under temptation. Confound those who trouble me. Turn them back and cause them to be ashamed of what they have done. You are my defense, and whom I trust. With You in my life, this spirit of confusion will be upon my enemies, including the demonic realm, and they will not hurt me. Turn them back in their shame.” David also wrote and said, “Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord. Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.” (Psalm 70:1-3)
Those who are saved, rejoice in their protector, Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ. They are lifted up, for there is real protection from evil spirits and people who try to coerce them. If God has delivered You, then rejoice and be glad. You have protection in Your life now and have nothing to fear. God be magnified. As David acknowledged, I am also poor and needy. Because of my need for the Lord, I ask Him to make haste to help me. The Lord is our deliverer in the storms of life. He is able to lead us safely home and into heaven. In conclusion, David said, “let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.” (Psalm 70:4,5) Jesus is our deliverer. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for Your protection at all times in my life. Help me fight the good fight in this life and not give in to temptation. I am grateful for Your presence. When You are with me I am safe. I am not tied down because of bad thoughts or lust in my heart. These things don’t impact me because my protection in You is active. It is so different when I am not seeking You, for my guard is wide open and the demonic realm knows this. I have fallen many times because my guard was not up, and I am sorry for the evil things I have done. Thank You for hearing my confessions and for not holding these sins over my head. You are so patient with me. I am not worthy of Your forgiveness and mercy. You’ve heard my cries and helped me. Thank You for hearing me and for giving me protection. I love You, Jesus. I give You glory and praise. Amen.
If ,in heaven, we will be allowed to know how many times we’ve had divine protection throughout our lives, I’m sure we will be surprised.
