My soul longs to be with God. I love His presence and for Him to be with me brings me so much joy. When I thirst for the Lord, He gives me drink. We will all appear before Jesus and His throne. When will be my day? I often wonder. I will humbly bow down before my King. As I reflect on my sins, my tears stream down my face knowing I am in need of a Savior. As people come after me and say, “where is your God?”, I will continue to stay strong in my faith in Jesus. David also wrote and proclaimed, “as the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?” (Psalm 42:1-3) Come to God with me in much prayer and supplications. Seek His hand first in your life and you will be abundantly blessed. Even during trials and tribulations, you will experience much peace that only comes from God’s hand.
When I remember what God has done for me, I am eager to pour out my soul to Him.
I am willing to do His will and have His kingdom reign within me. The house of God is in heaven, but His kingdom abounds within His saints. In much joy and praise do I go forth in songs of worship to my King. Holy is the Lord and holy is His Sabbath day. My hope is in Jesus. He is my help in this life by sending the Holy Spirit to be with me. David also said, “when I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.” (Psalm 42:4,5) Jesus is God, and He is the reason why I live. I am excited each day to live because He gives me breath. I cannot wait to be with God in heaven. For eternity will I praise the Lord in song and worship. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will find time for You in their busy lives. So many people are caught up in things that don’t matter in the long run. They put so much time and effort into sports, outdoor events, going to concerts, watching TV and movies, playing video games, and so many other things, that time for You is forgotten. How interesting it is that Christians have to remind people to pray and read the Bible, which should be part of who they are. It is very sad to know that this is the way of this wicked world. Instead of finding joy that lasts to the eternities, people find temporary joy that only lasts for the moment. And if a person knows You in the least, God, they would feel grief and sorrow for their sins. However, the majority of the people in this world just sweep these sins under the rug and make light of them. Where are Your people, God? Where have they gone? My prayer is that more people would be saved. Only then will they hope in the Lord. I love you, Jesus. I give You praise, God. Amen.
