Whenever we have sinned against God it is important that we ask ourselves this. “What am I waiting for? If my hope is in the Lord, then I ought to call upon His Name and confess my sins openly.” Ask God Almighty to deliver You from all your sins. Say, “Lord, may you not be disappointed with me any longer. I admit I have been very foolish, having made many wrong decisions in this life. I can feel Your mighty hand and Your hot displeasure. I know that You are angry with me, God. Have mercy on my soul. I believe in You, Jesus. I will follow You. Amen.” David prayed, “And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.” (Psalm 39:7-10) Calling upon the Lord when we know we have sinned is what He asks of us all. He is able to restore us back into His fold the moment we are humble and sincere in our desires.
God rebukes us when we have sinned. He corrects us, which we need to accept. Manmade beauty means nothing when inside we are filthy. Whatever we are fulfilled in is all vanity if God is not with us. And acknowledging our sins, pray this prayer with me. “Hear my prayer, Lord. Give ear unto my cries. May your peace encompass me. Although I have been a stranger, please forgive me. Spare me, God. Through Your mighty hand, I am able to recover my strength. Without You I am nothing. Amen.” David continued to pray and said, “when thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah. Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.” (Psalm 39:11-13) Although we may be far off from God, His merciful hand will usher us back in. Trust in the Lord and He will make you whole. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh lord, I pray for the salvation of many more souls. This world is evil and needs to know of Your hot displeasure for their lives. How Your wrath is real when it comes to willful sinners. Therefore, to hear Your rebuke and corrections is what we need to be made whole. There are many false teachers, God, that tell people that all we need to do is have faith and we are saved. Repentance is no longer necessary, they say. This is so wrong, and the sad thing is, Lord, millions of people in this world are influenced by these false teachings, and now have no sense of evil when it comes to their lives. These lost souls have been taught wrong, have mercy upon them. Lead them to a Bible-believing church that will teach them all of the Bible and not just parts of it. Lord, Jesus, You taught us yourself to repent and converted, and I believe this. What You and Your disciples have taught us are scripture and Your holy words. Therefore, I will turn from my sins and confess them openly. Forgive me, Lord. Have mercy upon my soul. I trust in You, God. I love You. Amen.
