The Lord Hear Thee In The Day Of Trouble

Remember the Lord on a day-to-day basis. He is at the door waiting for you to call upon His Name. If you are in trouble, your cries to God will be heard. No matter if the enemy is overpowering you now, He will defend you. He sends us help by way of angels from heaven and people to come to our need. In these moments of doubt, we receive strength and also wise counsel from heaven. So when you do call and receive help, remember Him and give your life to God as an offering. This means He is made first and we allow Him to fulfill His counsel and petitions in our lives. David wrote also and prayed, “the Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.” (Psalm 20:1-5)

God’s elect are also called His anointed. We may not be called this now, but the moment we put our trust in Jesus, His saving grace comes into our lives. We are saved through the strength of the right hand of Jesus, our Lord. From the holy heavens does God minister unto us through the Holy Spirit. Most people trust in things that do not save them. They find pleasure in worldly lusts, but at the end of the day, they will wish that they came to Jesus for salvation when they still had time. The Lord does hear us, no matter how far gone we are now. Only then can we stand upright and become different than the wicked. David said, “Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Save, Lord: let the king hear us when we call.” (Psalm 20:6-9) Call upon the Lord today. He is waiting. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will know and understand that You are for us in our times of trouble. How You are willing to defend us and give us the strength that we need. I am grateful to have You in my life, God. Your peace is felt when other things fail me. Your strength is received from heaven above, and I am so grateful. Through Your saving grace, I am made whole and set free from my sinful lifestyle. You have come and set me upright, apart from the wicked. Your light shines before me as the darkness is scattered. Lord, I pray that Your petitions for my life will be fulfilled. The same goes for Your counsel. If I am not doing something that You wish for me, then let me know right away what it is. I will then turn from my own desires and do Your will instead. To do Your will as it is in heaven brings me happiness and joy. I know that my life is not perfect, but the times the Holy Spirit is leading me, I am made perfect in those moments. Lead me from temptation, God. Keep in Your right standing. I love You, Lord. Amen.
