All throughout the Bible, we get specific warnings from God. One such warning comes from Revelation, chapter 22. It mentions that nobody should add to or take away from the prophecy of this book. This includes any so-called translation of the Bible where words are manipulated in a way that it is no longer the same as the original. Therefore, I use a word-for-word translation of the Bible, namely the King James Bible, in order to be as close as possible to the original, which is in Greek. The verses I am referring to are the following… “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18,19) This is so important to understand for nobody would want God’s plagues to be poured out upon them.
What Jesus testifies of is so true. Therefore, pay close attention to what you read not only in the book of Revelation, but other books of the Bible also. It is so important that we are ready to meet our maker in death. So many people die in their sins and then have many regrets while being tormented in hell. On the other hand, those people who lived their lives for our Lord Jesus will be in paradise when they die. They will be in a state of joy and happiness while awaiting their family, and friends who are also saved. Their joy is in the Lord and His rewards are for them in heaven. Jesus is returning soon. Before we know it He will come and rapture up His saints and also destroy the wicked. in saying this, I say, come quickly, Lord Jesus. It is written, “he which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:20,21) Let these words comfort those who loves Jesus and do what He says. You have nothing to fear, for the Lord is with you. Amen.
Let us pray:
Lord, God, I am in awe just thinking of You. Your presence surely takes my breath away. All I need is You in my life and I am so happy. I wish others could see the great joy I have with You, but they need to also seek Your face to also come to know what I know now. I have made my share of mistakes, but You continue to take me home. What a great Father You are, God. Do I deserve Your mercy? Absolutely, not. Do I deserve Your forgiveness? Again, no! But just like the prodigal son, You have seen me in my trials, my sicknesses, and while being tempted. I wish I could take things back, but that is not possible. Thankfully, You have had compassion for a wretched sinner like me. One day You will return for Your church, who are Your faithful. I will be ready for that day. Lord, I am waiting for You. You are my King and I worship You. I no longer wish to live for the flesh, but for You alone. Guide my every move. Lead me from temptation. I am lost without You, but ever so happy when You are with me. I love You, Jesus. I trust in You. Amen.
