Finally Made It

Praise be to God for every person who has ever lived and died in their faith in Jesus. This is good news, for they are now in paradise.  There will be no more pain, sorrow, or death, as they await their rewards in heaven. As John said, “I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake. I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.” (1 John 2:12,13) Their journey is over as their salvation is secure. There were difficulties along the way, but it was all worth it.

Speaking of people who endured in their faith, even until the end of their days, they continued in their love for Jesus. He meant more than the things of this world. Therefore, God’s love is with them. John said, “I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2:14,15) Surely, only the Lord can help us overcome temptation and endure in the faith. God is then able to take us home to heaven. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that I may be among the millions of people of have died over the centuries and are now saved. You know that I love You and am willing to tell everyone I can about You also. You mean more to me, Jesus, than anyone or anything else on this earth. I love my wife and my children dearly, but Your love is so much greater. Therefore, I pray that not only myself but my family will also be saved in Your glorious kingdom come death. May each one of us encounter Your presence in a more deeper way before our lives come to an end. Strengthen my faith and willpower to resist temptation. I love You, God. Amen.
