Once Cut Off But Now Saved

Although we may have been cut off from God, God will bring us back to Him if we repent and call upon the name of Jesus. There is always time to come back to God, that is as long as we have breath. It is after we die that these opportunities will be shut down and no longer exist. And speaking of us going astray, but coming back to God, Paul said, “because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.” (Romans 11:20-23) Praise God that God gives us second chances, although we don’t always deserve it. This speaks of the Lord’s mercy for all those who believe in Jesus.

Speaking of God’s mercy, Paul also said, “for God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” (Romans 11:32-36) Here we learn that in the mix of most people are believers, but the majority of others are not. That is why God sees this generation as a whole as unbelievers. But even so, His mercy is for all people who will call the name of Jesus. There very need for a Savior will save them. We have all sinned, my friends, but now is the time to get on your knees and cry out to God in prayer. Confess your sins, for it will be so refreshing when you do. He will forgive you. Glory to God, for He is the redeemer of the world.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will come back to You if they have not already. There is still time for them to call upon Your Name, but it is up to them to look past what they are up to now and make room for Your hands of mercy in their lives. I wish I could have the chance to speak the truth to every person who has fallen away from the faith, but I know this is not possible. For that reason, I pray that people in every town and city will get out of their comfort zones and visit people, even people that the church has said have gone away. And wherever your people go, that they will be an example to the unbelievers. We are Your light in this lost generation, and through the Holy Spirit, the lost can be found once again. I believe that You will lead each one of us to people who have left You and are on the verge of returning. Even to people who have no thoughts of returning, but something about our walk for You, Lord, will spark a rejuvenation of their faith once again. I do believe that many people are simply asleep and need to be woken up. And so we go forth as Your witnesses. We love You, Jesus. You deserve our praise. Amen.
