1As Christians, we know that can never hide anything from the almighty God. He is all powerful and all knowing. To willfully sin anyways, and to then attempt to hide that sin from others and God is very foolish. 2“He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.” Every sin that we have ever committed will come to light on judgement day. It will be very clear how God felt when we attempted to hide things from Him. God’s wrath will be upon them that choose to live for the lusts of the flesh. These are those that have not been made clean through the blood of Jesus. They may have lived a good life in their own eyes but if it was not for the Lord, it was all for not. They may have thought they knew everything they needed to know, but in death they will have wished they read the Bible and listened to people when they witnessed for Christ. It is very true that 2“fools die for want of wisdom.” Those that are in the Lord are rich in God’s blessings and His abundant wisdom. That is what makes them rich. There is no sorrow in life and in death for those that love the Lord God. 2“It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.” People may think it fun to do whatever they want, but in the end there will be severe consequences, if there is no repentance. 2“The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him” in his day of judgement.
6What will save us in this life is our faith in Jesus Christ. It is this faith that compels us to forsake what is evil and come unto Him for a change of heart. This happens when a person is humble enough to know they need a Savior and Godly assistance for change. 4When this openness to the Lord occurs, it also compels the person to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. 5In the water, we die to our old life, as Jesus died on the cross, and as we leave the water, we are raised up into newness of life, just as Jesus was raised up from the dead. 3Jesus said He would not leave us comfortless but send us the Holy Spirit. This is the Spirit we receive in baptism. Through the Spirit, we are no longer a slave to sin, for He leads us away from temptation. It is true, that if we go back to doing our own things and forsake the Lord, then we will no longer be protected. 7This is when our shield of faith is down and the enemy can easily have his way in our lives. Watch, lest you be found walking in darkness and not be aware. Continually read the Bible and pray that God’s words may be written upon your hearts. Trust in the Lord and you will have no fear. 2“The hope of the righteous shall be gladness.” One day, all “the wicked shall perish.” 2“Destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.” If you are among these people, then repent. Confess and forsake your sins today. The Lord Jesus is waiting to transform your life. His mercy is for all.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that You will lead us away from all sin. May our lives be filled with Your righteousness. Cast away all the wickedness from our hearts and minds. Cleanse us through Your blood. Have mercy upon us, as sinners. We confess that we are in need of a Savior and Your blessings, oh Lord. Poor out upon us Your mercy and grace. Forgive us, oh Lord. Bring us ever closer to Your love. We no longer wish to live for the lusts of the flesh. Take those thoughts from us now. We lay at your feet all our addictions. Break us free from the bondage of sin. May we never more be a slave to sin. May we never be so foolish as to cease to know Your counsel and wisdom for our lives. It is Your understanding that we need to find joy. To be blessed by You, my King is the greatest gift of all. Thank You for listening to my prayer. I need You in my life. Come and rest a while with me. Your presence is what I need to go forward in life. Your peace and love gives me hope for a new day. I love You. Amen.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
5Romans 6:1-13 (KJV)
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
6Ephesians 2:1-10 (KJV)
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
7Ephesians 6:11-18 (KJV)
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
