The Lord God is worthy of all our praise. Those that know the Lord, however, are the ones that give Him the glory. These are those that live for Him above all things. They seek His hand in their lives and acknowledge it when it is His and not our own. We give God all the glory. We don’t seek honor but give it all to the Lord of the heavens. To worship our King is where I delight. I praise the Lord as David did, 1“I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.” Many people have idols and they are their own gods, but the Lord is my God and I give Him my whole heart. I lift my hands high in praise and worship. I just wish that others that say they are in the faith would be so inclined. However, so many people get sucked into the things of this world. They believe that church and prayer will be enough. Oh, how they are missing out. When we do not seek the Lord often, our hearts are not for Him. Our desires to read the Bible and follow God’s ways are not there, when our focus is on other things. God’s will can only take place when we put Him first. This happens when we offer Him our whole hearts. We allow Him to have His way in our lives.
If you are in the faith and are living for God, then you can see His mercy and kindness for your life. It is very evident by the life you once led and the life you are leading now, that you are different. And how are you different? Because you have been redeemed. 2You have been washed clean through the blood of Jesus. It is His hand, in your life, that have led you to change your evil ways. When we realize what an awesome God has done these things, we can’t help but give thanks. We praise God for the miracles He has done in our lives. I love this time in prayer. It is the time I can bask in the presence of God and honor Him above all else. Even this very moment does my heart cry out in praise and worship to the Lord, my King. As David said, I will 1“praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” God has shown His kindness for me, by forgiving my sins. The truth of His mercy is made known. When I cry out to God, I am strengthened. I 1“shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.” God saw my brokenness and brought healing to my soul. In trouble, He is there for me. Our God is so merciful.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, it awesome to know that You are there for me. For so many years was I lost but now I have peace in my life, for You are with me. Your loving kindness is evident in the way You work through my life for good. I am not alone in the world, for You are there to lead me. My strength is in You, Lord. It is this faith that keeps me going, each and every day. It is an honor to lift You up in praise. I love to give You worship. My heart rejoices for Your mercy endures forever. I pray that others that say they are in the faith will also seek You with their whole heart. May people no longer believe in You, by word alone. I wish that Your blood would cleanse them and bring them to change their lives. May they begin to live a life for You, Jesus. I know how important it is to be on Your path. It is the only way home. I love You. Amen.
