Learn From God And His Word
Though a person of faith may desire to come to learn from God, Satan uses many different things to deter them.

As she was telling us her story, I knew that the Lord could help her. As these thoughts came into my mind, Chris asked if we could pray with her, which she accepted.
I continued to talk with the couple and explained that the Bible clearly states, in Revelation, that if you add or take away from God’s Word that your name will be removed from the Book of Life.
As we walked along the streets, many people took our handouts, including the Gospel of John and Gospel Tracks. Some people were not so interested but others were ever so grateful.
When Jesus died on the cross, He was the last offering for sin. We can now be forgiven by the blood of Jesus. After sharing this, he agreed upon this.
Shortly after talking with these two gentlemen, my walk led me to another awesome discussion with a wonderful young man.
Upon arriving to their temple, I was energized to talk with as many people as I could. I invited everyone walking down the sidewalk to take the handout.
Then Lord, You led me to speak to this homeless man. He was so angry because of his current situation and even thought you caused it.
I continued to talk with these gentlemen and saw, in their faces, how moved they were through my story.
After preaching, I met this young man, who was with his friends. I asked him if he believed in Jesus Christ and he said no.
Most visitors left in their cars but some walked home. One young man came out of the temple and started walking on the sidewalk, near me.
I continued down 8th and Main, and started preaching on Matthew, chapter 4. I declared, Jesus said “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
After shaking hands with so many Mormons, we told them that we had a few questions about what was shared in class and they gladly answered them.
This night, something amazing happened that has never happened before. Two different people wanted additional gospel tracts to pass out to others.
By the public train, we split up and started sharing the gospel with those that would listen. There I met this wonderful man.
While talking with this man, Patrick brought up the fact that during the crucifixion of Jesus, the veil of the temple was ripped in half.
After we left this neighborhood, Patrick, Jaron and I, all went downtown to continue passing out the “Gospel of John” booklets.
We are so blessed to be led by the God of the heavens. I asked the people to cherish every day that they have to read it and pray to God often.
One gentlemen stood there listening to the preaching, so I approached him. I asked if he was a follower of Jesus. His response was that he was Mormon.
If we are following God’s commandments then we are also loving one another, including the poor and afflicted and following Him.
As Jesus said, “the sheep follow him: for they know his voice”, I began to ask people if they follow Jesus. Do they know His voice and follow Him?
Jesus taught, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The lives we are living outside of Christ will never save us.
The next lady we talked to had just received a pizza delivery. Upon meeting her, we asked if we could pray for anything specific.
The seeds we plant through evangelism are so necessary. Even these gospel tracts I passed out tonight are important in reaching the lost.
As Chris and I decided to go out in faith and share the love of Jesus, doors opened up to us very quickly. Each person we asked to pray over, accepted prayer.
So many seeds were planted and lives were changed because God opened the doors. The Lord has done great things through me simply because I was willing and open to His counsel.
I want to share an awesome experience that I had tonight, while in the service of God. Some things happen by chance and other things happen because God wills it.
Paul said, “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” It is true that when we abide in the love of God that our shield of faith is raised.
Your promises, Jesus, make me whole. I trust that You can do all things in my life. For you “restoreth my soul” and “leadeth me in the paths of righteousness.”
