"PRELIMINARIES: [The second anointing is administered only to married couples, on the recommendation of a member of the First Presidency or the Quorum of the Twelve, and under the direction of the President of the Church. Only the first portion of the second anointing--the anointing itself--can be performed vicariously for the dead.] [Before a couple can receive the second anointing, the husband must receive the ordinance of washing of feet under the direction of the President of the Church. The washing of feet is administered in the Holy of Holies, or in a sealing room set apart for this purpose.]." (The Second Anointing)
"PART II: WASHING OF FEET (PREPARATION FOR BURIAL). [The washing of feet in preparation for burial is performed in the couple's home at a time of their own choosing. In this portion of the rite, the couple officiate for themselves.] Dedication. [The husband dedicates the home and a room in which to perform the rite.]." (The Second Anointing)
"Washing and Anointing for Burial. [The wife washes and anoints her husband according to the pattern given in John 12. Thus what the wife does is in memorial of what Mary did. The rite is understood to prepare the husband for burial and to give the wife claim on him in the resurrection.] [Having authority, the wife pronounces upon her husband whatever blessings the Spirit directs.] The anointing is recorded by hand in a leather-bound register.]." (The Second Anointing)
When it comes to the second anointing, the washing of the feet happens before a person dies and is buried. At this point, the husband and wife talk about seeing each other in the resurrection. They discuss this as being married to each other in the afterlife and also pronounce blessings upon one another. This they do having known that Jesus taught that there is no marriage in heaven. So who are these people believing? Jesus or their so-called prophets? Of course their church leaders instead of God. This is a real problem knowing that these people are already close to their deathbeds. They continue to believe the lies in Mormonism, being blinded to the truths in the Bible. My heart goes out to such people. For they are really hoping to enter paradise when they die and also see their spouse on the other side after they pass on to the grave also, but unfortunately it won't happen the way they planned on earth. Instead, those who were unbelievers and idolaters in this life go to a far different place that is very dark, where there is fire and brimstone and real torture. This is called hell. First comes hell for the wicked and then after judgment, comes the lake of fire, which is the second death.
John wrote, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 21:4-8)
Those who are unbelievers are people who don't listen to God but people who make up their own beliefs. As for idolaters, these are those who make up a God to fit their belief system and who wish for themselves to be a God also. What I just mentioned fits the characteristics of a Mormon person who is temple endowed. Therefore, they need to wake up to their sinful beliefs and wicked ways of living before it is too late. It is better to have their dreams shattered when it comes to eternal marriage and exaltation to Godhood in this life than to be damned forever in the next. At least in this life, people have another chance at being saved, while receiving God's mercy and forgiveness. The same thing does not happen to those who are dead. Their life's book is closed and they will be judged accordingly. Therefore, it is my heart's desire to see as many people leave Mormonism for Christ's sake that I can. If only a thousand people resigned and came to Jesus I would be so happy. Of course, it would be awesome if this included people in my family and if those numbers climbed to the thousands and even millions. So please help me witness to these people. Prayers are also helpful and needed. God bless you. Amen.
