Remember to pray often. Ask God to hear your voice, that He may give ear to what is on your heart and mind. Prayer does work, but remember that everything happens in His timing. However, God may not be for what we are asking for, so it could be “No”. As we pray, remember to ask Him to take care of You. To preserve your life in his light, protect you from the wicked, and not allow evil people to take you down. These are those who fight against God and His people. They encourage each other in doing mischief while doing Satan’s bidding. Satan uses people like this to lay snares upon us, that we might go astray and deny the Lord, our God. David wrote, “hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?” (Psalm 64:1-5) Let God in, that He may help you..
Those who are evil search out things that are wicked in this world. In so doing, they also lure in Christians, in order for them to go down the same dark path. These are people whom God’s wrath is upon. They stumble and fall in this life while experiencing His judgments in the next. Fear will set in when people see God’s handy works on display. Wise people consider God and stop committing such wicked and vile acts that He hates. Jesus is able to transform their lives and they are made righteous through His shed blood. This is because they trust in Him and glory in God and His goodness. The psalmist continued and said, “they search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.” (Psalm 64:6-10) Give God your heart and you will be glad. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will learn to walk in Your ways. Not the ways of this wicked world, but do as You say. Hell is filling up because of people who don’t want to live for You but the world. They are no different than anyone else who willfully sins in Your awesome sight. Help us to not keep secrets, but to be open about our actions, lest we fall too far away, in which it is difficult to turn back to You, Lord for salvation. I have talked to way to many people that once were in the faith and have since denied it. I am not saying that none of them will ever return, but in their current state of being angry with You, it is hard to witness to them. God, I don’t want to grieve the Holy Spirit because of my wicked actions. Therefore, deliver me from temptation and my enemies. Satan is picking people off all around me. Help me to fight against Him, lest I become his prey also. Deliver Your people as a whole. Your elect are anxiously awaiting Your return. Come quickly, Jesus. To endure this faith for Your sake is an honor. My Lord, and my King, I respect Your laws and will obey them. I love You, Jesus. Wash me thoroughly in Your blood. Give me clean hands and a pure heart. Amen.
Wise words. I admit prayer is a weakness of mine. Just one of many. I’ve never thought to ask God to hear my voice. Yes. We need to remember that what ever we ask, it will only be granted in his time and in his way.
