I am saved from a life of sin and regret because of My God. I wake up early in the morning to seek Him. My soul is thirsty for a new drink from God daily. It is not a chore to read the Bible, for God’s Words are a lamp unto my feet. So I wait each day upon the Lord, in order to be in His presence. Water from heaven is what I need. It quenches my thirst. Yours is the power and the glory, Jesus. I magnify the Lord. He is so loving and kind. What God offers is better than anything in this life. Therefore, His praises are upon my lips this day and forevermore. David wrote, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.” (Psalm 63:1-4) Come with me in blessing the Lord, our God, and Savior, Jesus Christ. He lives
God is my supplier. He satisfies my soul. When I am thirsty, He gives me drink. When I am hungry, I am fed with much wisdom from on high. Therefore, I will speak highly of my God, and my Lord. In the night, I cannot stop thinking about Jesus and what He has done for me. My heart and mind meditates upon Him all night until the morning. He is my help and carries me away into safe places upon His wings. I follow hard after Him and He upholds me with His strength. The psalm continues and says, “my soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.” (Psalm 63:5-8) Follow hard after God and you will be blessed abundantly. This means remembering Him in your daily devotions, prayers, and worshipping Him often. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I praise thee. There is no one like You, God. I am truly lost without You. Have Your way in me. Lead me into green pastures. Help me to walk in Your light, that I might not fall into sin and despair. Because You are with me, I have hope for tomorrow. No longer do I fear what comes my way, for I know that Your peace will pull me through anything. Days come and go, but waiting on You still in the night and in the mornings will never cease. Have mercy upon me, God. Satan has led me down paths of darkness, but thankfully, You have never quit believing in me. I have walked where I know I should never go and I am sorry. Receive me into Your right standing again. Lord, give me clean hands and a pure heart. Help me shine Your light for all to see. You did come, Jesus, to save us from our sins. It is now up to us to proclaim You in all the world. We are now two thousand years in since You were on earth, and we anxiously await Your return. And so I say, come quickly Lord Jesus. Even so, come. I love You. Amen.
