The Mormons really hate it when we bring up hell and the lake of fire. What is so odd, however, is how their own Book of Mormon teaches about these two places in detail. One such place comes from Mosiah, chapter 5. People here are making a covenant with God and knowing that if they do not keep it, they will experience an eternal separation from God in a place of never-ending torment. It is written, “and we are willing to enter into a covenant with our God to do his will, and to be obedient to his commandments in all things that he shall command us, all the remainder of our days, that we may not bring upon ourselves a never-ending torment, as has been spoken by the angel, that we may not drink out of the cup of the wrath of God.” (Mosiah 5:5) So what does this mean? It means that most Mormons will also go to the Lake of Fire according to these teachings. This is because they are incapable of keeping all their covenants with God. On the other hand, those who are saved are capable of keeping God’s commands. This is because through their faith and guidance of the Holy Spirit they are led into all truth.
Those who are unsaved will be cast into the lake of fire. This is when the smoke of their torment will ascend up forever. They will have no rest in this awful place. “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:9-12) As believers in Jesus, we are overcomers. However, Mormons are not so. They are instead relying on their own merits to go to heaven. They have made up a God that fits their beliefs. Therefore, it will be a wake-up call when they wake up in hell. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, l pray that more of these lost Mormon people will repent and give up everything to follow You. Their doctrines are of the devil and need to be exposed. Not to expose it because of hate, but because we want to pull them out of the fire while they still have breath. I pray that even one of the ninety and nine would leave this cult to follow You. Then, will they realize what they had been missing and give You praise, Father. No more will they think we are persecuting them, but tell others also about their salvation. We need more people who are willing to share their stories of salvation and coming out of this cult. I truly wish that more people would be so bold as to share the gospel truths with the lost people in this world. One thing I know is that this life is short. I may not be here much longer. You may have a better purpose for me on the other side than what I am doing here. All I know is that when that day comes, Lord, You will find me doing Your will as it is in heaven. This faith has come from being forgiven and knowing that You are alive and well in my life and millions of others also. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
