There is more idolatry in the Mormon faith than in any other religion on earth. They may not see it this way but it is true nonetheless. Even from the beginning of its foundation on earth, the false prophet Joseph Smith was calling upon other gods, which we know is wrong and evil in God’s sight. Just listen to their song, “Praise To The Man“, which is in the Mormon hymnbook. It says the following about Joseph Smith. “Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven! Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain. Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren; Death cannot conquer the hero again.” So he made plans for his church and the people therein by calling upon false gods. What does the Bible say about this? It reads, “But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.” (Deuteronomy 18:20) You have heard right. This man, being a false prophet, would soon die in his wicked state, which we know Joseph died soon after in jail.
The Bible reads, “take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods.” (Deuteronomy 12:30,31) Since the beginning of this cult, false gods and evil spirits brought forth the wicked ordinances of baptisms, endowments, washings and anointings, and marriage sealings for dead people in their temples. And now their members sing openly praises to Joseph Smith while extolling Him, which means worship. They even believe that they will be exalted to Godhood after they die and are resurrected. This is an idolatrous belief, which Satan desired of Himself also. It was always Lucifer’s intent to elevate himself to Godhood, and we know that happened. He was cast down like lightning. Unfortunately, Mormons will be cast into the lake of fire as an idolater. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, sometimes it is hard to know what to say to people who are lost and have no desire to know the truth. I see this all the time with Mormons who think they already have it all figured out, and so they ignore everything Christians have to say to them. They see us as antagonists, of whom they should not listen or pay attention to. This lie has been propagated since the beginning of the foundation of this cult. I am saddened by the majority of people I have spoken with and the little results I have seen. You have led me to pray over hundreds of Mormons over these years, out of the thousand I have spoken with, and I am thankful for those people. Hundreds of tracts have been passed out, all thanks to You, God. I often think about my encounters with Mormons and how closed they are, including LDS missionaries. Surely, You have called me to reach the Mormons for salvation. It has not been easy, but still worth it when even one person over the years resigns and comes to You as their Lord and Savior. Thank You for these people. I love You, Lord. Amen.
