There is so much to learn and grow from God’s laws on earth. Are they bad? No. But do they bring us to the knowledge of sin? Yes, which is a good thing. And now through faith in Jesus Christ do we live in God’s good standing, for His righteousness is in us now. But does this exclude God’s law in our lives? God forbid. Paul taught, “therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.” (Romans 3:20-22) “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.” (Romans 3:31) My friends, we are to truly believe in Jesus unto salvation. This leads us to be baptized and also receive God’s gift of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Then, can we be examples of the faith and unbelievers, for the Spirit of God is now leading our hands and feet and not the flesh. And by so doing, there is less sinning and more doing God’s will. Therefore, we establish God’s laws through our obedience to them. Living for Jesus is what real faith is. Come unto Him and He will show you the way.
Paul also taught, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” (Romans 3:23-26) In this passage, Paul is trying to get through to us in the faith. That we must understand that we have all sinned before a righteous and just God. But when we come unto Jesus with a humble and sincere heart, we are justified and made clean. There is redemption and forgiveness given to the vilest of person, as long as they come clean before God and desire a life change through Him. Even our sins from the past will be wiped clean from God’s remembrance. Amen and Amen. This is such good news for people in the world today. Speaking of remission of sins, this happens in baptism. As Peter said, “repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38) Start living for Christ and you will also desire to be baptized if not already. God bless you!
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that we will grow more and more in Your righteousness and holiness. Help us to shine Your light before people, that there will be more salvations. Even in our small communities, towns, or cities, help us gain the motivation and confidence to usher into the world Your gospel of hope. People need to realize that we have all sinned before You God. Nothing we have ever done is hidden before Your sight. Surely, our lives are an open book to a just and holy God, of whom I worship and give praise and honor. Yes, Lord, I worship You with all my heart, mind, and strength. There is nothing I’d rather have than Your presence in my life. I have so much more that is of worth when You are leading me, than if I was doing things on my own. I have a purpose, for I am a part of Your kingdom. Thank You, God. I give You thanks also for Your laws, of which the Holy Spirit helps me obey. Your teachings, God, are what motivates me to live each day and hour for Your cause. I am able to not lose focus, especially when I continue in Your Word daily and stay in constant prayer. Lord, thank You for Your forgiveness and grace. You died to save a wretch like me and billions of others in this world. We are not worthy of Your great love for us, but when we do come unto You, there is a restitution for all our sins. Thank You for no longer looking at them or keeping me guilty. I love You, God. Amen.
