It is sad to think that many churches now teach that miracles and healings have ceased with the early church. That these miracles and healings they are hearing about are all false, but done through trickery. These churches even say to people who have done a healing for God, liars and false prophets. They do this because of the hardness in their hearts. They cannot accept anything that goes against the doctrines taught in their church and are therefore lost. Now, as for performing miracles and healings, I have done just that with God in me. I’ve seen a woman with stage 4 cancer be healed after laying my hands upon her and asking God to cast out all her sicknesses. This was confirmed two months later when she saw me once again on the streets and told me that she is now cancer-free. That she got checked the very next day after being prayed for by different doctors and each one said she is a miracle, for no cancer was in her body. Praise God. And not only this, but I have seen a man who was deaf in one ear receive his hearing back in full. Me and two other gentlemen simply laid our hands upon him, while we prayed for healing. The moment we took our hands off of him, he said, “I can hear, I can hear”. Of which, he then started running up and down the streets, while jumping up and down for joy. It was amazing to witness. These are just two different healings I have been apart of. Now, people that are taught that healings no longer occur may call me a liar, but God knows.
The same miracles that occurred in the early church are happening today. We just need to turn to Acts, chapter 3, to see one instance of this. It reads, “now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God.” (Acts 3:1-9) Wow! Just as was done before is done today. Even a man who was lame was prayed over and received his strength back in his legs. Then, while walking, he leaped up for joy. The same can be said for the deaf man who received his hearing. My friends, God is still working as He has before, but the question is, are you allowing yourself to work for Him? If not, then you will never see these miracles in your life.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will begin to encounter You in a new way. Open their eyes to see Your mighty power in their lives. Many people are skeptical of miracles and healings, but when they are used by You to perform them, everything changes. A skeptic man or woman can be turned into a street evangelist overnight. That is how amazing Your power is. I have seen Your power and am blown away each time it is on display. Thank You for using me for Your glory and to bring healing into many people’s lives. I am simply Your messenger and You are able to do great things through me and others who simply believe. Every person who believes in You could become Your instruments of hope in other people’s lives if they would just allow You to do a work in them. You have healed a woman with cancer and gave a deaf man his hearing back, because of my great faith, and having been worthy of Your great Name. Yes, God. Only You can cleanse me of all my sins. And when I know that I am clean, then I am able to go out and do great things in the harvest. It isn’t me doing anything but You doing a marvelous work and a wonder in my life and others. Lord, I love to witness Your truths to the world and to also bring healing and restoration into their lives also. This is a great confirmation that Your power is on display and not men, and we all need to give You the glory for what just happened. So Jesus, keep me from harm’s way, and my eyes fastened upon You. Use me mightily for Your kingdom and don’t let me let up until my last breath. I believe in You. love You, my God. Amen.
