Praying For My Sister, Who Is Sick

Today God put in my heart to pray for my sister who is sick. Even though people are very scared to go to people’s houses who are sick right now, I knew it was God’s will for Heather to be prayed for. Therefore, I cast out every doubt that filled my mind and put my confidence in God that she would be healed if I prayed for her. Even some verses from James 5 came to my mind, which confirmed the fact that she needed prayer. It reads, ¹“is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:14,15) These verses kept coming to my mind over and over again as I drove to my sister’s house. All I know is that I needed faith and she would be healed. On Facebook, many people have already prayed for her and this was my moment to show my faith in coming to her house and praying with her physically. As long as I was worried about my own health by visiting her, my faith was hindering the situation. Therefore, God took any doubts away and the Holy Spirit took over. Praise God that I allowed God to move within me. If not, I would have never gone to her house today.

After I got to my sister’s house, I noticed she could hardly talk. It was very raspy and she said that it was because of her throat being in constant pain. It hurt so much that her immune was shot. Nothing she tried doing or taking for it helped. These were worse than normal flu symptoms and I did not wish to lose my sister because of it. Her suffering like this for two weeks straight now with no signs of improvement is enough for me to cry out to God for healing. So before I left her house I asked her if I and her husband could pray for her, but she only wanted one person and her husband said I should do it. So I did. I came to her and touched her leg and began to cry out to God for healing. I prayed that God would cast out every sickness in her body. That every affliction she is going through would be for a moment. That God would lift her up and heal her both body and soul. That could deliver her a full recovery. This I prayed in Jesus’s Name for healing. I do believe that God is going to heal her if He hasn’t already. In the meantime, keep Heather in your prayers. As James said, ¹“confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16) God will hear your prayers as He heard mine. God bless you and know that the Lord God, who is Jesus, still heals people today. We just need faith.

Oh Lord, my God, please hear my cries and heal my sister Heather. She is suffering right now because of flu-like symptoms and is not getting any better. Even though she is tested and it isn’t COVID, I worry because of her health. I know that You heard the prayer that I offered up for her at her house. You were with me as I prayed. Even as I asked that You would cast out the afflictions in her body and heal her, You did this with me. Lord, thank You for Your presence and for leading me in the prayer through the Holy Spirit. It was evident that I was not alone in the prayer, for You were there. All I ask now is that she recovers from her sickness in full. Come to her now and deliver unto her peace. Uplift her and help her know that she is loved. I did my best to uplift her and bring comfort to her in my time with her. Now, I pray that You will do the rest. Lord, prayers are going up for her from all around the globe. Please listen to them also. I know that prayer can move mountains and that more people who pray will allow there to be mighty miracles that have never been seen on earth. I believe in You, Jesus. You are my healer and my fortress. Thank You for delivering me from my bondage and for consoling me in my trials. I have suffered much because of sickness also, and You have helped me along the way. If it is Your will also, will You also bring full healing to my body? I have suffered from a chronic chest congestion for some time and pray that You will heal me. I love You, Lord. Only with You in my life am I see free. There is freedom in the Lord. Amen.

1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
