Why is it that the form of entertainment for people is often TV instead of God (Bible + prayer)? Where are people’s priorities now-a-days? There is one thing I do not understand, and it is why other professing Christians don’t make God a priority in their life. Instead, they let other things distract them like TV, Music, Books, Phones, Tablets, Computers, and Video Games. These are their priority, where the Bible, Prayer, Christian Music, Christian Ministries, Fellowship In The Church, Worship and doing God’s Will is not often found. So again I ask people if they really believe in Jesus for salvation. Because what I am seeing is that He doesn’t matter much at all to them. Maybe in church does He matter for a moment, but that ends when most people leave the property. You know, this is very disheartening and sad, as these people are on the path of destruction and don’t even realize it. So unless they repent and make God the most important part of their lives, then they will ultimately die in their sins and go to hell. Jesus said, 2“seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33) Solomon also said, 1“trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.” (Proverbs 3:5-7) This is very important to know, as you will not have direction in your life if you are not trusting in God. Only when you give Him your whole heart, while no longer giving Him only lip service, is your true love and devotion shown in true colors.
So what does it look like to trust in God with our whole heart? Well, it means doing as He commands us and giving up things that are holding us back from following Him. This means that our time watching TV will need to be cut significantly. Also, the shows we watch will have to be filtered, in order for them not to offend the Holy Spirit, who is inside of us. Our music of choice will also have to change for the same reasons that bad lyrics only lead us from God and not towards Him. We all know that these things plus books can deter us from reading the most important book of all, which is the Bible. And the violence in video games are enough to cut them out entirely. I have not even spoken on phones, tablets, or computers, but these things are time wasters and often bring in more evil in a person’s life than good. It is because pornography is often searched out on such devices. So if people are caught up in the things I just mentioned, then God is not important to them. He wants to show us things in His word and through prayer, but people are not looking to Him. It is my wish that every believer would be involved with some sort of Christian ministry, but people need to first allow the Lord to cut the bad out of their lives. He will also help them set time limits on things, in order for them not to cut into their time in His Word, worship and doing His will. The truth is, my friends, God wants to lead you, but you must allow Him to first. This means giving into His counsel and letting Him cut out all the junk in your life first. So start seeking the Lord daily, not once a week. Doing this will lead you on the path of righteousness.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I love You. You are my greatest joy of all. I can have nothing, but if I have You in my life, I am happy. It is because You are the supplier of my joy and comfort, that I have strength in this life. The enemy has no chance to take me down, for You are my shield. You give me peace even when trials come, because You are always there to lift me up. Truly, there are many distractions in this life that could keep me away from You, but the devil can keep trying, for You mean more to me than the worldly things He offers. Lord, I’d rather give my time to You in studying the Bible, in prayer, praise and worship, and doing Your will, than to binge watch things on TV. Surely, You mean more to me than allowing wickedness to creep into my life. So continue to shield my eyes from the wickedness of this world. Keep me on your righteous path. Help me to continue to seek You first in my life. I also pray for others that are currently in sin and have their priorities backwards. Lord, convict them of the bad choices they are making, and direct them on Your holy path. Many people are seeking things that they deem important, when really it only goes against Your will. So help them not be wise in their own eyes any longer. Then, will they make better decisions when it comes to how much TV they watch and what they watch. Also, will their time spent on their phone and other devices be limited, while allowing the Bible to be accessed more. It is when we put You first is when reading Your Words and praying becomes a priority in our lives. Otherwise, we will only make excuses when it comes to reading, praying and even doing Your will. Lord, You are worth living for, and I pray that everyone that says they believe will also start believing in this also. Amen.

1Proverbs 3:1-14 (KJV)
1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:
12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
2Matthew 6:19-34 (KJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
