We should be examining our lives each day that we have breath, in order to see if we are on the right path and living for God or not. The way we are living each day could be against Him, so it is important to know if we are in the wrong. Depending on what we do each day with our time, makes us the person we are. Therefore, we are either living on our own or with God’s help. This is big deal, especially if we desire to be saved one day. For that reason, Jesus spoke about this and warned us about choosing to live outside His will. So now we will let the Lord do the talking when he said, 1“he that is not with me is against me.” (Matthew 12:30) And He continued teaching us how to live our lives while saying, 1“either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (Matthew 12:33,34) If we believe in Jesus and His Words, then we need to think about what He just said. Are you doing the necessary things to bring God’s goodness in your life or do you fill it with evil things that come from your own heart? We can never speak anything good, when our lives are filled with the filth of this world.
Jesus taught us that our actions will get us in trouble, but so will our words. He said, 1“but I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36,37) The things that we do and say on our own timeline will get us in a lot of trouble with God, if He is not a part of it. For this reason, we ought to be continually seeking God and allow Him to take our evil thoughts captive, so that we don’t open our mouths and offend somebody wrongfully. By doing this, we will also be less likely to have lust in our hearts towards someone. It is one thing to be tempted and another to give into it. Please know that the world may not care about your secret sexual sins, like pornography, fornication, adultery, and homosexuality, but God does. Every day that you live apart from God, these evil deeds are recorded and will be used against you in judgement. Just like when you break the laws of the land and go before the judge for what you have done, God will also hold things against you, unless you came to Him in your confessions and repented. It will not be a pretty picture for those people that chose to live against God’s will, instead of for Him.
Listen to what Jesus, our Lord and Savior, had to say about those people that choose to follow and obey Him, instead of the world. He said, 1“whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” (Matthew 12:50) So to be called his brother, sister or mother is something we look forward to, for it is amazing thing, indeed. This means that we are right with God and He approves of our lives. If there is one thing that I pray that you will learn from this message is that time with God is important. In order to do God’s will, we need to focus more of our time with God in prayer and learning from the Bible. These things are important to our everyday walk with God. So do you make time for God each day, while doing these things? If not, then start today. I challenge every person that says they are Christian to go a month without using their TV, Computer, Tablet or Phone, unless it is for work, to contact somebody, or for God’s glory. This will give you more time to read the Bible daily, to pray often, and to get out and witness to others about Jesus. We need to connect more with God and this will help. Who is with me? (PS.. You can use apps like Facebook if it is to share Jesus or God’s Word with others.) God bless you in your efforts to follow Jesus every day of your life.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will respond to Your call for them and desire to live their lives for You and not the world. Though the world may have them now, You have the power to break those chains and set them on the right path. Some may not even have had the chance to see what true joy is like and I just wish that they would. May the broken hearted fall down on their knees and pour out their hearts to You in prayer. This heart felt prayer will do them so much good, especially when they finally are able to feel the relief that they’ve been waiting for all these years. It is true Lord, that people are living outside of Your will and don’t even realize it. They struggle throughout life and are often sad or depressed because You are not there with them. However, if they were to simply give You a chance by reading Your Words in the Bible daily and seeking Your hand often, all their worries would be over. You would take their tears and give them gladness of heart. Instead of worry, You would give them hope for tomorrow and the future. Everything would be so much brighter when people finally give their whole hearts to You, and decide to get up and follow You. Your ways are higher and bring into our lives happiness that we don’t deserve. But because You love us so much by dying for our sins, we have the mercy and forgiveness that are souls need to go onward in this life and the next. When we are secure in Your great love, there is so much more to do and accomplish in this life by Your hand and not our own anymore. I love You Lord. Your ways are my ways now and I cannot be happier. I love You more than anything. Amen.
